Description
The Makoppas Nest River Lodge is set on the banks of the Magalakwena river, surrounded by privately owned game reserves. The area is home to a variety of game species including giraffe, zebra, kudu, gemsbok, crocodile, and leopard. Bird watchers can spot many wild African bird species including the fish eagle, saddle-billed stork, kori bustard and crimson breasted shrike.
Accommodation is offered in self-catering chalets set on the banks of the river, and overnight cottages surrounding the swimming pool area. Most of the units are air-conditioned. All of the units have a shower en suite with a toilet and washbasin, and tea- and coffee-making facilities.
The self-catering chalets are well-equipped for self-catering with a stove, microwave, cutlery and crockery. Each chalet has a verandah from where you can enjoy the peaceful and beautiful sunrises and sunsets.
The lodge offers a fully licensed restaurant, a cosy bar, a swimming pool, playground and a conference centre.
