Description
Marloth Wild Fig offers a peaceful retreat in the unspoilt bush surrounds of Marloth Park. It is about a 5-minute walk through pristine bushveld to the Crocodile River which is next to the Kruger National Park. Marloth Park is a wildlife conservancy and holiday town situated on the southern border of Kruger National Park. It is a popular stopover for tourists travelling to the Kruger National Park, Swaziland, and Mozambique, offering a chance to spot four of the renowned Big Five.
The house and studio uses solar power and does not experience power outages.
The 2 bedrooms sleep 4 and each have an en-suite bathroom. The first bedroom has a queen-size bed with an en-suite bathroom with a shower and the second bedroom has 2 single beds with an en-suite bathroom with a shower.
The kitchen is equipped with a stove, oven, a microwave, a fridge-freezer and tea-and-coffee-making facilities. Relax on the hammock on the balcony and have a close-up view of the abundant birds high up in the trees.
The studio apartment is suitable for 2 guests and has a bathroom and an open plan kitchen with a dishwasher leading to the living area. A king size bed is available and there is also a fold out couch. This unit has a private jacuzzi that can be used. The jacuzzi pump will be switched off during the hours of 19:00-09:00.
Both units offer a flat-screen TV with access to Netflix, your own DStv account as well as YouTube with free Wi-Fi. Both units have a private braai area. All air-conditioning works on a prepaid basis.
Activities in the area include game drives, game viewing, birdwatching, 4x4 trails and hiking in the area. Guests can walk or cycle along the border of the Kruger National Park and Crocodile Bridge is about a 15-minute drive from the property and is the nearest entrance to the Kruger National Park.
There are 2 small shopping malls and many restaurants, as well as 2 communal pools in Marloth Park about 3 km from the establishment. There is a water park with pools, slides and put-put located only 3 km from the establishment.
