This reservation was made by Premkrishnan for family with teenagers. It turned
out to be a reservation for American Tourists, eight adults in total all sharing in three self-
catering cottages and one outside B&B room with its own entrance.
Mr Premkrishnan Gounder dropped them off and I was left with the task of having to inform
them that breakfast was not included, as stated on the booking reservation.
I suggested to them that they should go to PheZulu Safari Park for breakfast, as it has
beautiful views with a chance of seeing game. They were very happy at the time and
thanked me for my suggestion.
The next morning my staff member came to me whilst I was cooking breakfast for another
six guests in the main house, informing me that the lady from Cottage B was asking that time
was breakfast. I inform my staff member to tell her that there was no breakfast as explained
to her on check in. My staff member came back to me saying that Cottage B wanted to see
me. I informed the staff member to tell her that I would see her once I was done with
breakfast. By the time I had finished breakfast they had already been collected by
Premkrishnan Gounder. I can only assume that he was a tour guide who had made the
reservation on their behalf. The next day when he picked up the guests to depart, I informed
him that I was not at all happy in the manner that the reservation was handled as there was
tension between the guests and myself. He then informed me that he was under the
impression that breakfast was included.
I was accused by one of the quests of false advertising as Cottage B did not have an air
conditioner.
All our B&B rooms together with Cottage C have air conditioners.
Cottage A & B both have ceiling fans only. Since 2004 both cottages have had a strong record of
repeated bookings by the same guests year after year.
It is noted that there is a very low rating for both value for money and customer service that
is below our average rating on reviews.
I dont know what the guests ended up paying for their accommodation as Premkrishnan
Gounder paid the bill and since he informed me on the day of departure that he thought
breakfast was included, maybe this is the reason for the low ratings that is not a true
reflection of Misty Ridge B&B.

If only you had of informed me that you were having a problem with the air con I could have sorted it out. The air con has a heating mode and a cooling mode that can be set at a temperature of your choice. If it is set on heating mode there is a delay of about 10 to 15 minutes before it kicks in, a safety setting, set by the manufacturers. If it is set on the cooling mode it comes on instantly.
