We had a wonderful stay at Mkumbi, the cottage has everything you need for comfortable self-catering accommodation. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Mkumbi has a rich birdlife and we spent hours in the evening on the porch watching for night monkeys and other nocturnal animals.

We had the most delightful and peaceful stay at this very comfortable 5/6 sleeper cottage, with the convenience of 2 bathrooms. Our party was 3 adults and 2 young children. Very roomy and the kids loved the grounds and the pool. We so enjoyed the Nyala that came to keep us company and surrounded the cottage grounds. We also had an exciting couple of visits from the beautiful resident genet! The cottage was easy to find with good directions and only 30 mins to the Hluhluwe Reserve Memoriam gate. V.
