North Beach Durban Apartment

Wonderful.

The place is amazing, I had the best time of my life.

Was okay.

The apartment needs an upgrade on their small kitchen appliances. The iron is too old and kept catching on my clothes even at its lowest set temperature. There are no dressing tables in the bedrooms. The bathroom was okay but could have been cleaner. Grouting is stained with mildew in corners and needs a bit of attention. WiFi will be a better attraction to the unit. The owner is very kind and friendly. He made sure to keep contact with me. The apartment in total is a 4 out of 5.

Great stay, a walk away from the beach.

Except for the apartment being next to a freeway, we had a great stay. The apartment was clean and close to everything we needed.

Our stay was only for 4 days, but we had a good stay.

Even though our stay was good, the swimming pool was dirty. We were not able to swim and our boy was not allowed to ride his bicycle inside the complex, even though some of the resident children were playing skateboarding. Lastly, we were promised WiFi, but to our surprise, there was nothing. Fortunately, we brought our own.

The place was very clean. Security was on point. Was close to town and malls.

Firstly, no visitors were allowed. Bad for tourism. Battled for hours to get the DSTV working. Eventually gave up. Had to ask for the WiFi code on the second day. A single toilet roll provided for the weekend. Had to make numerous calls to eventually receive my breakage deposit refund after 10 days and lots of phone calls.

Home away from home and close to so many shops, attractions and beach.

Everything was on point.

I will recomment family and friends also.

We needed a small place to stay over for the Amashove weekend close to the starting point. This was the perfect place. Very safe and secure. Hosts are friendly, helpful and professional.

In general a good stay. Neat and cosy. However it should be made clear to clients about the double set of stairs prior to full payment being made.

Personally, I have a few things to say. I would suggest that they get back to providing towels to guests. Even during the pandemic precaution has been taken at all the other places we stayed in the two weeks prior to our stay. I know we made a late booking on Monday for Wednesday but after being on the road for two weeks by then to discover we needed to bring our own towels was a surprise. A 'few' stairs were mentioned and it ended being 33 stairs up and again when going down. With a husband in a weakened state that was not what we expected as it was never mentioned prior to making full payment. Personally, I believe that should be part of the advertising. The 'breakage' deposit was the highest of the three resorts we stayed during the time. That seems to be very high when compared to even 5-star resorts. No bathroom 'mats/towels' also made it quite messy when a shower was taken and you step onto cold towels with water dripping all over. Floors then became very slippery and dangerous.

The place was lovely and very clean and the guards were friendly and helpful.

Waarde vir geld, netjies en beskik oor al die benodigdhede. Sekuriteit is baie streng. Goeie plekkie vir 'n vinnige oornag of 2 aande.

Dicht bij strand / veilig complex.

Appartement net voldoende voor 4 volwassenen; alles precies genoeg; geen enkele luxe; slechts 2 krukken voor buffet; complex lijkt wel een gevangenis met alle bewaking etc.boulevard en strand op loopafstand.

Place comfortable and very neat and secure. Close all everything needed around Durban..The owner and building manager very helpful and professional.

North Beach Durban feels like home.

We enjoyed our stay at North Beach Durban, on our first day we had a problem checking in as the weather was bad we couldn't drive as quick as we can to be there in time, we were 30 minutes late and our 1st day stay was cancelled. We had to be up and down Durban looking for another place to sleep or optional sleep on a car, we had a sick child. We did not have a choice but to find another place of which we did, however the following day we checked in and enjoyed our stay, the place is clean and 100% fully equipped for comfortable stay, there is no noise of any kind. Just be there in time.

My friends and I travelled from East London to Durban on the 6 October 2016. On our arrival at Summer Sands, we were greeted warmly by Mr Robins who escorted us to our apartment. The apartment was spacious, neat and tidy, well-equipped and quiet. We had a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend this accommodation to family and friends.

Great accommodation but owner lacks customer service.

We had a great time in Durban. Had major issues with getting there in time as it was raining and the owner was not pleased with us. He kept reprimanding me like I am at school. At some point my partner and our friends really felt we were being bullied. He requested an extra R500 for late checking in. I kept begging him to understand that my hubby can't just speed because we are late and it's not safe. Eventually we got there and met one of his manager Mr Robin, what a different guy from Ashton. Mr Robin should be running the apartment full time. He understands customer service and knew that we were paying customers. Thank you Mr Robin. As for Ashton "the owner", you are not running a school. People pay money so that they can come enjoy it. My husband was upset with me because you kept calling and putting pressure on him as he was driving. It was completely not fair, and unprofessional. Change your attitude. And change your check in time, which place checks in at 10-1pm only? People are still on the road at the time.
