Dis 'n amazing stil plekkie.

Decent, but lacked hospitality.

Although the space was adequate, it was not exactly what we expected. There are photos on the site that are not at all what we experienced. We were also shocked that there was a pit bull in the garden. We have an almost 2-year-old, and we could not let him run around in the garden. The hosts lacked hospitality. We mentioned a toddler would be staying with us, but there was a painting leaning against the wall and other things that were breakable at child height. We packed those things away and lifted them higher, but a bit of prior thought for our situation would have been appreciated.

Clean and relaxing.

The location was great, the room was clean, and the host was great. It's always good to find a place that makes you feel at home.

My stay was pleasant, peaceful and relaxing.

The host is very friendly and considerate. The WiFi is fantastic - fast and uninterrupted. There is a TV but I did not use it. The bed was great - I slept like a baby. The bathroom is spacious, and the shower is very nice. I appreciated the little refrigerator - I could keep my snacks and cold drinks cold overnight. I felt safe. The area seems to be fairly quiet and had a nice atmosphere - old, well-established area with big trees. Number 57 will definitely be my first choice for overnight stay if I have to sleep over again for work.

Clean and host helpful, but we did not get what was advertised.

Clean and host helpful. TV's did not work on arrival Thursday, was fixed Saturday. There were 5 of us and we made it clear we would be braaiing etc. but without explanation, we had no access to the communal kitchen and dining room as advertised as the manager stays in.

Dit was great! Stil. Rustig. Mooi. Netjies. Wat meer wil jy hê? 'n Goeie ligging? Absoluut! Vriendelike diens? Natuurlik! 'n Oulike hond wat jou groet? Dit ook! En 'n baie lekker stort.

Lorraine is absolutely amazing and friendly. I enjoyed my short stay and will definitely be back to enjoy the garden.

Spacious, clean, secure, value for money, good location and friendly host.

Host was very helpful. Met us personally on arrival and departure. Well located to all areas nearby, like restaurants bars galleries etc.

Mufreuk in kamer.

Baie lekker geslaap. Die kamer het wel soos nat hond / muf geruik, was nie 'n lekker ondervinding nie.

Tv not working, no aircon, no bathroom shampoos etc. No bottled water and no Wi-Fi.

Lorraine was lovely and very welcoming but could do more for that price.

Very convenient and an excellent stay.

House 57 was very convenient and is situated a few minutes walk from the vibrant, bustling 4th Ave. Lorraine is an excellent host and communicator.

Baie gerieflik en sentraal geleë.

Ons het baie gerieflik oorgeslaap nadat ons ’n spesifieke restaurant naby wou besoek. Die restaurant was stapafstand. Die vriendelike diens en kommunikasie was baie goed.

Home away from home.

Lorraine, our host really made us feel extremely welcome. The unit is exceptionally clean and thoughtfully appointed. Total home away from home. This place will definitely see us again!

Disappointing.

Staying at House Number 57 is great if you enjoy listening to students partying, drinking and brawling all night. The best part was when at 02:00 one of their presumably drunk friends repeatedly rang the buzzer. The guests staying in the unit adjacent to ours were young students who used the communal pool area, that happened to be right next to our bedroom window, as their personal entertainment area. Explaining to them that we had a long distance to drive the following day meant that the ruckus was met with “Shhhhh, shhhhh” every time, from one in the group. We had chosen to stay there because it was supposed to be quiet. We had to travel 8 hours the following day on very little sleep. If you do decide to stay at House Number 57 remember to pack your own soap. The container in the shower is empty and just there for display. If you’re brave enough to take a shower, remember your flip flops; you might also need to pop in to your nearest medical centre to treat the fungus on your feet afterwards. Another item on display is the huge container supposedly housing coffee. There’s only one teaspoon of coffee in there, so you and your partner will have to play rock-paper-scissors to decide who gets the cup. Finally the highlight was when we wanted to leave the following morning to get an early start on the road. The gate wouldn’t open. On phoning our hostess, she said she didn’t have a key and wouldn’t be able to enter the premises. Long story short, my husband managed to open the gate and we were able to leave a half hour later. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Goed ingerig en gerieflik.

Ruim eenheid is goed ingerig en in die algemeen netjies. Bed en beddegoed, asook handdoeke, was ook goed. Oulike ontwerp-elemente soos dakvensters voeg waarde toe. Relatiewe mate van privaatheid is aanvaarbaar. Sentrale ligging en goeie veiligheid. Gasvrou was vriendelik en behulpsaam. Sal weer hier tuisgaan, veral in somer, want sprankelende swembad is uitnodigend!

Didn't have good WiFi connection. Bedside lamps didn't work. Hostess made me feel extremely welcomed and enjoyed her company very much. Lovely person.
