Olive Cottage

Tranquil, relaxed and convenient.

This is our second visit and it sure won't be the last. Definitely one of my favourite places in Hermanus. The pool water needs some attention though.

Dit is 'n heerlike cottage vir ons familie van 4 met alles wat mens nodig het. Is in 'n stil woonbuurt naby aan die Onrus OK minimark en ook die Onrus Beach, en Hermanus as mens wil inry.

Beautiful home away from home.

I was incredibly impressed with the detail. Awesome reading books, lovely decor, and cute art pieces. Cosy and quaint with everything you need to enjoy a break.

Never disappoints.

The second time around and Olive Cottage never disappoints. We'll definitely be back again.

Perfect little family break.

We had a lovely stay. Loved every moment. We definitely be back.

Couples stay.

The house was clean but the garden had old dishwashing liquid bottle tops, old braai chops in the garden that our dogs kept on bringing out with meat still on. It was very hot and there was no fan in the house or any way to cool it down and the house was very hot inside. You had to leave the front door open for fresh air and then a lot flies came into the house and in the kitchen. Also they were building next door which was unfortunate as we were hoping for a quiet and peaceful stay, instead they were banging and hammering a lot of the day. The sponges and cloths in the sink were old and dirty from the previous guests. There was no cleaning equipment to clean and we were staying a week- no brooms, mops, vacuum cleaner, cleaning material or detergent. Only one bin bag was supplied for a whole weeks stay. No tv or music. The one bedroom had small square windows with no curtains so could not be used as the light shone in through the windows all the time so you could not sleep. If you were staying for a week as we were there were no facilities to wash clothes. The fridge is a very small bar fridge and only had one shelf so very little could fit into it. There was only one sun Lounger and we were told when we asked the other one was broken and then only offered a sun chair which we had to go and fetch from the hosts house next door. The other chairs in the braai area were all old and rusted. The chairs in the kitchen were wooden and only 2 had cushions on. None of the beds had bedside lamps next to them. All in all it was very overpriced for what we paid and looking at other properties available we wish we had gone somewhere else that was nicer for the same price. Very disappointed.

Stunning, safe place.

Het 'n baie lekker tyd gehad met my eggenoot en familie. Die swembad was wonderlik en die weer het baie mooi saamgespeel. Die plek is skoon en netheid is tops. Dis nie die laaste sien van my daar nie en ek sal enige mens aanbeveel om daar te kuier. Baie dankie vir die tyd daar.

Een woord - perfek!

Huis is baie goed ingerig, uitstekende ligging en lekker privaat. Sal definitief weer boek in die somer om die swembad ook te geniet.
