Olivia's Secret

Olivia's Secret is certainly one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. Our 30th wedding anniversary was definitely a highlight as guests. We were entertained by the Samango monkeys that came just close enough for us to see them, and the birds were magnificent. Everything was communicated so well, and her team were fantastic.

Breathtaking.

From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in the tranquility and serenity that Olivea's Secret offers amidst the stunning forest surroundings. Every aspect of our stay, from the cozy accommodations to the breathtaking natural beauty, provided the perfect escape to recharge our spirits. Thank you for creating such a wonderful atmosphere that allowed us to relax and unwind. We left feeling rejuvenated and inspired, and we cannot wait to return for another stay!

Perfect couples retreat.

It was an amazing few days. Great location. The house was perfect. Big and spacious.

Baie mooi, rustige omgewing om weer die siel by te vul. Seker weer 'n plek om na toe terug te gaan.

Die uitsig was asemrowend en ons het die splashpool baie geniet.

Absolutely beautiful and relaxing.

It was an absolutely beautiful stay, definitely one to return to in the future! Peaceful, private setting in a beautiful cottage. Also helped us out when our car's battery had died, which just adds to the wonderful experience!

A little patch of heaven!

We stayed at Olivia's for two nights, en route to the Kruger. This is a gem, nestled in the heart of the Magoebaskloof. There is a stretch of dirt road to the cabin but we were able to climb it out easily with our Rav, pulling a Town & Country trailer (rooftop tent and all). The unit itself offers more than enough and is decorated beautifully. You are welcomed with a huge pot of garden-picked flowers and massive wood frame windows, offering a sense of indoor outdoor living. It's tranquil and neat with a vast variety of fauna & flora around the unit! Thank you for making this an effortless and unique experience. Be sure to see us again!

Rus en vrede vir die siel, beslis die moeite werd!

Olivia's Secret is 'n fantastiese verblyf opsie. Dit is baie amper 'n 10 uit 10. Sal dit beslis weer besoek en aanbeveel. Wat die verblyf self betref, is die plek op 'n baie goeie ligging, rus vir die siel. Die eenheid beskik oor alles wat nodig is, maar die bed is wel nie op standaard vir gaste verblyf nie. Ons het die natuur geniet en die pad daarheen het nie persoonlik gepla nie, maar ek dink wel dit sal goed wees om gaste vooraf in te lig van die grondpad en toestand wat nie in almal se idee van pret val nie .

Sprokiesmooi.

Ons het baie lekker gebly by die eenheid. Die eenheid is baie privaat in die bos van Magoebaskloof. Die eenheid is bekombaar met 'n klein 2x4, selfs in ligte reën weer, maar dit is 'n twee spoor grondpad met 'n steil helling aan een kant, so ry versigtig. Die eenheid was baie netjies en is goed toegerus met skottelgoedmasjien, stoof, oond, mikrogolfoond en yskas. Daar is ook braaigeriewe. Die area het ook samango ape wat party oggende in die bome naby die eenheid kom kuier het, en ons het 'n boomslang op een van die stap paadjies gesien.

Was beautiful, peaceful and a great stay.

Beautiful place but stay dampened by the bad dirt road.

It's a beautiful, quiet, cozy place. However, I found my stay to be very unpleasant because of the drive up on the bad dirt road. I called the host before finalising the booking to ask, as I've read the reviews stating you need a 4x4. Instead, the host told me that I would be fine with a normal car, which is not true. The road leading to the cottage is bad, especially after the A47-2 marking on the road. So, unless you're seeking a 4x4 adventure, stay away from this place. You end up not enjoying the beautiful scenery and tranquility because you are annoyed from the drive up on the bad road. Also, turning into the dirt road from the main road is a bit unsafe because of the position right after a sharp curve. A traffic mirror installed could ease the stress for travellers getting onto the road.

Magical, memorable experience.

I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wishes to escape their busy life.

Olivia's Secret is goed geleë, ideaal vir 'n paar dae wegbreek. Akkommodasie is smaakvol, skoon en baie gerieflik. Privaat, met eie 'splash pool' vir warm dae. Mens kan heeltyd by die kothuis deurbring of die verskeie staproetes volg en natuurskoon verken. Ek vermoed Olivia se 'secret' gaan nie lank 'n geheim bly nie.
