Ons het baie lekker gekuier hier, en die braai op die dek bo die water is 'n wenner!

A perfect location for a weekend away.

The checking-in and out process was seamless.

Ongelooflik mooi, skoon en goed toegerus!

Die verblyf was ongelooflik mooi met 'n asemrowende uitsig! Dit was skoon en baie goed toegerus, met 'n eenvoudige in- en uitcheckprosedure. Die gasheer was vriendelik en baie behulpsaam. Ons sal beslis weer terug wees!

Ons verblyf was rustig, lekker en baie aangenaam. Hierheen wil mens terugkeer!

Ons het baie lekker gebly. Onverwagte tog hooggewaardeerde bonusse was houtskool, blitz, vuurhoutjies en braaihandskoene ingeval mens daarsonder sou arriveer. Dan was daar 'n verkyker, voëlboek, toiletverfrisser en Peaceful Sleep wat mens nie maklik by soortgelyke blyplekke vind nie. Om nie te praat van die 2 wynglase en bottel wyn en sjokolade wat by ons aankoms op ons gewag het nie. Dan was daar ook 'n verskeidenheid boeke wat vele onderwerpe gedek het vir ons gerief beskikbaar. 'n Uiters huislike atmosfeer deur fyn opgevoede eienaars wat weet hoe om die ekstra myl te loop. Mens kan nie anders as om dit soos jou eie op te pas en net so keurig na te laat nie!

A perfect stopover for a few nights.

Beautiful quaint cottage right on the water. Host was very welcoming and responsive.

Ons het die verblyf baie geniet. Dit was 100% skoon, met inverter, braaihout is verskaf en die klein bederfies was 'n treffer! Die kinders het die kanoës baie geniet. Dis rustig en die huis is perfek geleë op die water. Die eienaar was baie gaaf en behulpsaam.

Destination in itself — Pirates Creek 8.

This bungalow is beyond amazing. The best self-catering accomodation that we have experienced in a very long time. The hosts were also amazing. Attention to all the small details that make a traveller feel special. Wood supplied, rusks provided. Beautiful chocolates as a welcome treat. The property, location, privacy and experience were beyond our expectations.

Wonderlikste wegbreek.

Ons het elke oomblik hier geniet, die eienaar is so vriendelik en behulpsaam! Inverter in die huis, so ons was nie eers bewus van beurtkrag nie! Die huis is perfek geleë op die water en steeds veilig vir klein kinders. Ons het so lekker gerus, gebraai en die mooi om ons geniet! Ons sal weer en weer terugkom!

Absolutely perfect!

First of all, you are right on the water. It's stunning, the birdlife, scenery and then those magnificent sunsets and sunrises over the water. The facility itself was spotless, everything worked 100% and plenty of space. Basson was the perfect host. Highly recommended.

Ek het ’n stukkie van my hart daar gelos, ons gaan beslis weer terug gaan. Beste uitkyk en teen die water.

Relax on the river.

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at On the Water. Such a perfect setting, right on the water with spectacular views. The chalet is very comfortable and kitted out with everything you would need. Everything was very clean and neat. It can get hot in summer so the air conditioning in the main bedroom is a big plus. The teenage kids were also very happy with the large TV and the WiFi. There are canoes provided and it is an absolute treat to paddle up and down the stunning river. The water is warm, so swimming is also fantastic. Sunrise and sunset are spectacular and we enjoyed them while sitting on the deck. The braai area is ideal for outdoor entertaining with the best view! Basson, the host was extremely efficient and friendly. He made sure that we had everything we needed for the best stay. We also appreciated all the little extras that were left in the chalet for us to enjoy. The only slight negative was the sound of the traffic from the N2, but otherwise everything was definitely 10 out of 10. We would definitely recommend the accommodation and hope to visit again.

A beautiful place for romance.

Hubby and I first time visiting here. We were blown away by Basson's attention to detail. We had coffee and rusk on the deck, watching the sunrise. Beautiful birds singing and dancing entertained us. We felt comfortable and stayed cosy and warm, even though the rain came down and temperatures dropped. Truly happy to have been able to have an unforgettable 23rd anniversary stay here. I can honestly recommend their place if husband and wife need some alone time. This is a family unit and we'll be back with our boys. Thank you Basson and family. God bless.

Uit en uit waarde vir geld.

Dankie vir die hout, vuuraanstekers, alles wat ons nodig gehad het is 100% op plek. Ligging puik om Wildernis te sien. Maak beslis weer 'n draai, dankie.

On the Water het al ons verwagtinge oorskry.

Ons sal beslis weer Wilderness besoek. Basson was baie vriendelik en hulpvaardig. Die huis is ruim en slaap gemaklik 6 volwassenes. Dit was 'n heerlike paar dae en sal volgende keer langer bly. Ek kan On the Water aanbeveel vir 'n groep van 6 volwassenes, ouers met kinders en beslis ouers met tieners. Daar is baie om te doen en wanneer dit reën is daar 'n enorme TV met al die DStv-kanale. Ook speletjies vir diegene wat verkies om nie die elektroniese dummy in te span nie.

Baie lekker rustig en naby aan verskeie aktiwiteite.

Lekker staproetes en bootrit op die Touwsrivier.

Absoluut beeldskoon.

Die ligging is beeldskoon. Die huisie kyk letterlik uit oor die water. Die huis is stylvol en het absoluut alle luukshede. Ons het vir die week gelewe soos konings in 'n klein stukkie paradys.

Dis asof tyd stilstaan.

Daar is net genoeg van alles om 'n ontspanning nie werk van te maak nie. Die rustigheid en skoonheid en uitsig vanaf huis doen die siel goed en so vergeet ons dan van fone, TV en ander dinge wat tyd van mekaar steel. Boek gerus die plek, los net Julie oop vir my.

Idyllic setting with nature on your door step.

The unit was/is ideal just two minor maintenance matters -the upstairs shower door malfunctioned and the basin drain blocked. Also, Basson just to put out a mop & broom and scoop in case of accidental spillages and to mop water in the bathroom around the bath for instance and during rainy weather one often drags in wetness at the front door. Other than this - Basson was super helpful and the reception with the personalised biscuits and chocolates upstairs was the the proverbial cherry on the cake so in terms of reception 10/10.

Memorable, magical, peaceful and tranquil.

Basson was a great host, once my booking was confirmed, he kept in contact and provided helpful information, which continued throughout stay at "On the Water" at Pirates Creek. The location is amazing, right on the water's edge, where we canoed and swam. It was so peaceful and tranquil being so close to nature but also not far from amenities (small supermarket, lovely restaurants, chemist etc). There are also spectacular walks and hiking trails close by. The house was more than comfortable, clean and provided everything that my wife and I needed, including the use of canoes. While out on the canoe one day, I lost my expensive prescription spectacles and Basson came to the rescue, offering to salvage my specs. He dived in and found them within a few minutes and I was very grateful. Thanks Basson for your help and warm hearted nature. We are already planning our next trip.

Werkers rondom huis vir 3 van dae. Geen TV op laaste dag. Verder alles baie goed.

Absolutely awesome.

Basson is the nicest most caring host. Their family holiday home that they share is beautiful, clean and truly a home from home. We had a glorious time on the water and the fact that when it's cold and you have to be inside you are catered for with a huge TV and an awesome family counter to gather around. The kids were happy and safe. The beds and bathrooms were to die for and it was so nice to be in an establishment with white linen and towels. Again home from home. Basson thank you so much for all that you did and for your amazing hospitality. We will definitely be back.

Plekkie was regtig netjies en het alles gehad wat ons nodig het. Het die uitsig en kanoe baie geniet. Basson was regtig hulpvaardig en ons sal beslis weer gaan kuier.

Basson is ongelooflik vriendelik en staan altyd reg as enige hulp versoek word. Die huis se ligging is perfek op die rivier en is vreeslik netjies en mooi! Ons het die beste naweek gehad in Wilderness. Ek beveel dit sterk aan.

Rustige, ontspannende vakansie.

Die huis is lekker ruim en baie netjies met 'n pragtige uitsig! Alles wat jy nodig het is daar. Die kinders kon hulself heeldag besig hou. Baie lekker vis gevang en geswem in die rivier.
