Heerlik, rustige plek. Baie spasie en heerlike braai-area.

Was baie rustig op die plaas met net die natuur rondom ons.

Lekker Karoo-ervaring.

Baie stil plaas. Ons kon lekker rus. Grondpad is in 'n baie goeie toestand en enige voertuig kan daar ry. Jacolize en haar dogter het ons ingweag en gou tuis laat voel.

Baie goeie waarde vir geld.

As mens die geleentheid gebruik om op 'n plaas met ruim akkommodasie te bly, is dit net die plek. Ons het baie lekker gebly. Die "host" is amazing en het ons met 'n heerlike vars gebakte plaasbrood bederf. Die stilte en eenvoud van die Karoo is kos vir die siel.

Plaas ervaring. My tyd was net te min. Sou graag die staproete wou doen.

Heerlike ervaring. Ideaal vir familie en vriende.

As jy rustigheid soek van die stad se lawaai, is die die plek.

Die plaashuisie is baie groot. Lekker braaigeriewe. Alles is beskikbaar. Net die entjie van die dorp af is bietjie lank, maar alles die moeite werd. Dit was regtig baie stil daar.

The house is great and the dinner was delicious.

A haven of quiet and space in a crazy world.

We only stayed one night so did not have the opportunity to explore the farm more. Even though we had venison pies for dinner, I went to make a fire in the lapa and just enjoyed the silence of the evening and watching the kids loving the space and freedom. A little bit of dust here and there, is understandable because it's an arid area with lots of wind. I would stay here again - for a lot longer.

An exceptional place to stay. The quiet you can only experience on a Karoo farm.

Make sure to order the Karoo lamb chops to braai while enjoying the night sky that only the Karoo can offer. The old farmhouse offers spacious rooms with all the required amenities and a very nice braai lapa.

Sal enige tyd weer daar oorslaap. Die kamer met lugversorger was heerlik.

Heerlik gebly. Na 'n baie besige jaar het ons die plaas baie geniet op ons eerste vakansiedag. Heerlik gebraai en gekuier. Lekker stil en rustig, weg van die stad geraas en besige plekke.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Oom Fasie se Plasie and soaked up the Karoo scenery around us, appreciating the comfortable home we overnighted in.

My husband and I enjoyed our farmstay experience very much. The home is comfortable and very well equipped for guests. What made the experience even better was the complimentary homemade cheese bread, the butter, jam and cheese. The homemade venison pie and salad that we'd ordered were delicious!

Rustige omgewing weg van die hoofpad af. Voel baie veilig, ekstra opsies vir kos en drankies sonder om dorp toe te ry.

Absoluut wonderlik.

Ek en my vrou (en natuurlik ons 2 honde) het 4 nagte oor Kersfees op Oom Fasie se Plasie gekuier. Van die oomblik wat ons arriveer het, het ons welkom gevoel. Jacolize en Fasie het ons op hulle hande gedra met egte Karoo-gasvryheid. Die huis het alles wat mens nodig het en is baie gerieflik. Heerlike Karoo skaap- en wildsvleis kan vooraf gereël word. Ons kon behoorilk uitrus met die spesiale ervaring om die hele plaas vir jouself te hê. Ons het heerlik geswem in die silwerskoon plaasdam en die honde kon heerlik in die koelte op die grasperk lê. Ons was jammer ons kon nie langer bly nie en sal beslis weer gaan kuier!

Perfect pet-friendly stay-over.

We were travelling with 3 dogs and a full bakkie load, so after reading some of the previous reviews - terrible dirt road and people complaining about thorns in the fenced-off back section for the dogs, we were a bit apprehensive about booking at Oom Fasie se Plasie. However, we bit the bullet and booked. It was the best decision we could've made. From the moment we turned onto the dirt road, we wondered what some of the previous guests were complaining about. The road is not corrugated - it is actually very well-maintained. The entire experience at Oom Fasie se Plasie is one of a kind - we travel often, and this was the first time we encountered an owner of a self-catering establishment who sends you a message a few days before you book in to ask if they can take the meat out to defrost so you can braai, informs you that there will be a freshly baked loaf of bread (with butter, jam and cheese) to welcome you and even offered to make a salad. The owners were there when we arrived and made us feel right at home - the house is lovely and extremely comfortable, the kitchen is equipped with everything you need, and the honesty system they have set up means that you don't even have to unpack food to cook during your stay - you can just relax and unwind at the braai, under the stars after a long day on the road. (Do try the wors they have in the freezer - it is simply the best - you don't find wors like that in the shops). Our biggest concern when booking was the dogs (given that it is a working sheep farm) - and it turned out that there was absolutely no need to be worried. The back area is securely fenced with a lovely green lawn where they ran and played and got rid of all their pent-up energy while we sat outside with them at the braai. We loved every minute and could've easily stayed a week or more. Have already recommended it to other friends travelling with their dogs, and will definitely book it every time we drive down from Pretoria to the West Coast.

Wonderful and warm farm stopover.

We were warmly welcomed to a farm stopover at Oom Fasie se Plasie. Freshly baked bread, apricot jam, cheese and butter was waiting for us on the kitchen table. The house was very comfortable with electric blankets on the beds. We would like to visit this farm again and spend another night or two exploring the area.

Heerlike verblyf op die plaas.

Oom Fasie se Plasie is 'n heerlike plek om te gaan ontspan en die oopte en stilte te geniet. Die huis is goed toegerus met alles wat jy benodig vir 'n gerieflike verblyf. Ons sal vir seker weer gebruikmaak van Oom Fasie se Plasie.

Rustige verblyf in die Karoo.

Die diens was puik en ons sal beslis weer 'n draai daar maak.

Ons het by die juweel oornag op pad terug JHB toe.

Gesellig, heerlike kos, vriendelike atmosfeer sal dit definitief aanbeveel, selfs vir meer as net 'n oornag. Pragtige plaashuis.

Plaashuis was baie mooi skoon en alles netjies op hul plek.

Alles het mooi gewerk en ons is baie vriendelik ontvang. Baie lekker gebly, die stilte is fantasties en ons is vriendelik ontvang deur Jacolise en haar man. Ons is tot bederf met 'n vars plaas brood. Kan hulle vir seker aanbeveel.

Baie rustig en stil.

Ons is gasvry ontvang by die plaas en alles is skoon en netjies. Hul is behulpsaam en ons het heerlike skaaptjops gekoop om te braai. Jammer ons het nie 2 aande bespreek nie ter wille van die stilte en rustigheid.

A pleasant stay, but a bit off the main road.

Quite far off the main road. The dirt road to the farm is not too good following rains. The shower needs a hose fitted. The dogs had difficulty in roaming the lawns due to thorns. The house was neat and we had a peaceful overnight stay.

The most welcome farm stay in my life. It was like the farming family had just moved out to let me stay, little did I know they actually had only moved a few months prior. It was perfect.

Do not look for all the fancy-schmancy highbrow facilities and style, it is not my rendition of 'perfect accommodation'. Plus the modest pricing for my pocket enables me. This farm was clean, friendly, with a warm family feeling in every nook, cranny and acre of dry parched land. With everything one might need or ask for in every way. Oh, and with the most ginormous farm reservoir full of clean, newly-pumped water (would be grand for a summer stay). Loved the two windpumps churning in the wind, music to the ears, a lullaby if turning whilst falling asleep. Thank you Oom Fasie se Plasie family. My walks way way out into the Karoo both night and day was heart-healing, pure medicine for the mind body and soul. Blessed in every way. Thank you again.
