Description
Ouma se Huis is an original farm house where one of the pioneer families of the Boegoeberg Water Scheme lived since the 1940’s. It has been lovingly restored by the children who grew up in this house on the farm, Opkyk, to a self catering facility for a relaxed, quiet farmstay. The farm is still in the family and produces grapes and lucerne.
Ouma se Huis is situated en route N10 approximately 75 km from Upington and 45 km from Groblershoop on the way to Namibia, Augrabies, Kgalagadi Transfrontier National Park or Namakwaland.
It has 4 Bedrooms, 2 with en-suite bathrooms and 2 rooms share a bathroom. Clean white linen, soft towels, tea, coffee, milk and homemade rusks are supplied.
The comfortable lounge includes a TV and fireplace.
There is a dining room and well equipped kitchen for preparing your own food or enjoy a sociable braai at the outside braai facility - lots of wood is supplied. It is only 500 meters from the Orange River where you can have a picnic under the trees, fish, canoe or just enjoy the tranquil surrounds.
You can also cool down in the cement dam on a hot summer’s day.
Relax in the large garden on a beautiful summer evening, with big trees and lawns with ample space for children to play and enjoy the outdoors.
