It was ok.

To be honest. From day one it was a disaster. For the first 7 days of the 10 days, there were issues. Yes, some were resolved but others took longer than expected. It was very inconvenient for me and my son. We had to be home for repairs, and at times, it felt like we were being watched due to the presence of a camera. The unit was extremely hot even though the air conditioning was on. I would recommend having a fan in the room for the heat, as the windows couldn't be opened due to the south Easter winds. It would also be helpful to advise clients to bring extra toilet paper and to leave something to keep the floors clean. A larger pot would also be advisable, even for two people. Despite this, we made the best of our vacation. Thanks for the fridge and extra stove; it was helpful.

OysterCatcher Self-catering 's response

We appreciate honesty from our guests, but we do not agree with this review. It does not truly reflect our units and what we offer, as confirmed by our numerous 5-star reviews on different platforms. We tried to accommodate her and her several requests to the best of our ability. For example, we went beyond our usual provisions to supply her with an additional large fridge. However, the fact remains that our units are equipped for two guests and are self-catering. Like most self-catering units, we don’t provide toilet paper for the entire duration of our guest's stay. We provide two roles to start with, which is applicable to all the supplies we provide. It’s self-catering for a reason. Our units feature a small stove and oven combo; usually, guests use the oven or stove separately. When all were used simultaneously with other appliances, an unexpected electrical overload occurred. This issue has now been resolved. We strived to rectify the situation when it was most convenient for our guests. The suggestion that the guest was being watched is entirely unjust. True, we have a camera outdoors to increase the security of our guests when manoeuvring in and out of the single garage. We can assure you that there are no cameras inside the unit or on the patio. We appreciate the proposal to equip the unit with an additional portable fan. We agree it would be an advantageous addition, especially in the warmer months. Thank you for that suggestion. We are disappointed that your experience was not as expected. We hope that in the future, you will rent a place that better caters to your cooking needs.
