Penrose Cottage

Wonderful.

Dit was baie lekker, loved the location with the mountains, and also the nice pool. Not our first time booking in at Penrose Cottage but the first time we received such service, thanks to the owners who made us feel at home and allowed us to still wait for our drivers after 10.

Unpleasant.

During our short stay, we were unpleasantly surprised to find geckos and their droppings in the unclean kitchen sink. Adding to our discomfort, the blanket was heavily soiled with dog or cat hair. However, was very accommodating. I would recommend that she puts more effort into maintaining this cottage.

Second stay for the year. Beautiful little paradise.

I'm definitely going back. The peace, the beauty, the location, the greatness. Who can complain about it?

Enjoyed our stay, tranquil environment. However, the shower was a little wonky.

The location is nice, secure and safe and very relaxing.

My friend and I will recommend Penrose Cottage to anyone. The host is so friendly. Would suggest that the shower drain be looked at as the water drained very slowly, other than that, the place is very nice. I would return anytime again.

Baie veilig en pragtige natuurskoon.

Die kothuis is mooi ingerig, ons kon egter sien dat daar lanklaas ander gaste was. Dit het ook voorgekom of die gasvrou vergeet het van ons bespreking en moes ons LekkeSlaap kontak omdat ons haar nie in die hande kon kry nie. Penrose Cottage kan egter aandag skenk aan die volgende: "Bar fridge" op 'n tafel plaas, dis bietjie ongemaklik om op jou knieë te buk heeltyd. Die tweeplaatstoof op nog 'n oppervlak plaas vir balansering. 'n TV sal ook 'n groot aanwins wees. Die alarms met stickers aandui watter knoppie vir watter doeleinde werk. Die bed was gemaklik en baie snoesig en warm teen die Kaapse koue aande. Die WiFi opvangs was uitstekend. Penrose beskik ook oor 'n pragtige tuin en die allermooiste uitsig oor die see vanaf die straat.

Amazing, relaxing, beautiful, just awesome.

My girlfriend and I had such a great weekend, it was so peaceful, so lovely, the people of the house didn't even bother us but what a nice person when meeting him the 1st evening, just a stunning place and everything is near to you, I definitely will go again.

Ek het die cottage bespreek vir vriende van my. Hulle het hulle geniet en sal defnitief die plek aanbeveel.

My vriende het hul huweliksherdenking gevier. Hulle was vriendelik ontvang. Die plekkie se ligging is fantasties. Hulle het die verblyf geniet en alles was goed.

Clean, quiet and secure.

The room was clean and well-stocked. The only thing I would mention is that the shower was a bit "quirky" as the hot water would randomly stop and then come out super hot after a few moments. I'm sure the owners will attend to this in due course!

Badkamer deur 'n bietjie lastig wanneer 'n mens dit oopmaak.

Small but cosy, we enjoyed our stay and we had lovely fur friends that made us feel at home.

Peaceful stay, enjoyed it very much.

It was very peaceful. Owner was friendly.

The cottage need an upgrade. Had to clean the spider webs inside which was very bothering. Ideal for a night stay or tourist that want to explore and hike. Wi-Fi was not working and there is no TV. Garden is very beautiful though and the pool was nice. Seems like a place not to be during the day.

It was relaxing.

Totally enjoyed my stay with my partner and kids, was really relaxing and beautiful view.

The hosts were very welcoming.

We had a very nice stay, Tracy was very welcoming and we immediately felt like we were home.

Nice and short stop over.

Quick one night stop over before flying back to Johannesburg. This is ideal if you want to do either Fish Hoek or Zandvlei Parkruns. Both are within short travelling distance.

Gerieflik en bekostigbaar.

Die huisie is gerieflik met 'n reuse bed en goed toegerus vir selfsorg. 'n Mikrogolf sou dalk 'n goeie idee wees mettertyd alhoewel daar dalk nie plek is in die kombuisie nie. Dit is stapafstand van feitlik alles in die sakekern van Muizenberg. Verkeer in Boyes-weg deur die die dag kan dit soms moeilik maak om uit die motorhuis te kom, maar dit is stil in die eenheid self ten spyte van besige verkeer.

Its a nice room. Everything that you need is there. The people are very kind and helpfull. Thank you for a nice stay.

Nice area and practical.

We stayed 1 night, it was a last minute booking. The room was worth it, could do with a television and DStv or, if not a TV, better WiFi. Some renovation needed and a better bed. We wouldn't be able to stay more than 2 nights at the venue, the bed wasn't very comfortable, seemed very old and worn out.

Well organised and a place to visit again.
