With friends

Stunning property but overpriced.

Stunning house and great layout. Perfect for families or spending time with friends. Does need some maintenance and for the price we paid, can probably invest in some nicer bedding and towels. Bushes in front of house were overgrown and we couldn't see the ocean view as posted online. Loadshedding broke fridge but they repaired it right away. Outside furniture and bbq were broken. If you are not a golfer, rather stay in town. A bit far from amenities.

Glad nie tevrede nie. Die huis is in 'n slegte toestand. Vir R5500 per nag was ek uiters teleurgesteld.

Daar is te veel toestelle in die huis wat of nie werk nie of in 'n baie slegte toestand is. Die plek was vuil. Ek was baie teleurgesteld. Ek voel ingeloop vir dit wat ek betaal het. Die huis is nie op standaard nie en die eienaars sal die plek moet opknap indien hulle hul huis wil verhuur vir R5500 per dag.

Not satisfied at all. The house is in bad shape. For R5500 per night I was extremely disappointed.

There are too many appliances in the house that either do not work or are in very bad condition. The place was dirty. Our fridge and freezer did not work. Had to put our things in a small fridge in the garage. Bedside lights don't work. Toilets do not flush thoroughly. Water in sinks drains slowly. There were too few towels. The power points in the lower rooms "trip" the leakage breaker which makes some of the appliances not work - something is wrong there! Hanging chairs from the roof are not properly secured, children fall on their bottoms! No decent braai facilities - everything is broken and old - no grill, should have bought one. I was very disappointed. I feel like I got what I paid for. The house is not up to standard and the owners will have to renovate the place if they want to rent out their house for R5500 per day.

Pezula 15 Maritime 's response

Good day Alida,

I would like to start with the comment of the place is filthy. I can assure you it is and was and always is cleaned thoroughly. The design of the home is a rustic look and therefore it can be miss-looked that it is filthy. The other issue is check-in time is 16h00. The time you were allowed to drop off your luggage our cleaning staff was still busy cleaning. (Totally against management policy)

Regarding the fridge due to all the load shedding, the fridge started to have a mind of its own. We stored a spare fridge in the garage prepared for when the fridge doesn't reset after load shedding it is available. A new PC board has been ordered by the owner but the time frame of arrival did not happen as promised. Hence the smaller fridge in the garage. mater of interest, it is a 200lt fridge. (Standard size for homes)

Extra towels are stored in basin cupboards as well as our store room. Extra is available on request if needed.

Regarding the electrical issue, thank you for informing us now. An electrician has been summoned to repair the issue.

Toilet flushing and tap water is due to a lower water pressure in which the local municipality is involved. Out of our hands.

The hanging chairs have been installed for a number of years and were in good condition, we apologise for the incident and will have them reinstalled. (We would have appreciated it if the matter was reported to us whilst you were still occupying the property).

Yes regarding the braai facility, the owner has been informed to have it all replaced.

The owner has received a copy of your complaints.

We will be reaching out to you soonest the owner has improved the property as it needs to be, and invite you to come to stay again, trust you would have an impressive experience.
I am unable to stipulate a date or time period when, but we have been pressing the owner to have the property upgraded and refreshed.

Thank you for your feedback
Kind regards
