Description
Plains Camp is an intimate collection of stylishly appointed en-suite tents nestled in the shade of a Knobthorn cluster, in a private wilderness concession in the Kruger National Park. Plains Camp is the base camp for walking trails in the Kruger National Park and represents the heart of the wilderness experience.
An exclusive specialist safari experience, Rhino Walking Safari’s base camp comprises 4 comfortable, en-suite tents overlooking the plain, where a variety of general game as well as predators can be spotted. The Timbitene waterhole at the end of the plain is a popular elephant drinking place.
Each tent comprises 2 single beds and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet and basin.
The camp offers unforgettable and informative guided walking tours designed to bring guests closer to nature, finding the often unseen and fascinating aspects of the African bush. Learn about flora and fauna, how to identify wildlife tracks and the intricacies of the ecosystems that support the larger animals you are likely to encounter.
Share a meal and wonderful tales around the campsite before turning in for a comfortable night’s rest in a well-appointed tent or take it a step further and pre-book to spend a night under the stars at the sleep-out decks.
