On Christmas day, a van full of people arrived as visiting guests for one of the couples who were booked in as day visitors. They drank until after 12 in the evening, we almost couldn't sleep because of the noise. No one silenced them. I am truly sorry to learn of your disappointment.
Unfortunately in all my marketing, I promote my establishment as " BUDGET ACCOMMODATION IDEAL FOR GROUPS OR BUSINESS WITH WORK COMMITMENTS IN SOUTH DURBAN". 90% of my business are persons working in the area or those that have stayed while working and choose to come down for a break.
Unfortunately, it was festive season and a certain amount of drinking will happen on occasion. It is very difficult to control and can be a sensitive area to manage. My business is in a residential area and none of my neighbours nor other guests complained.
With regards to dirty cutlery, I will address this with my staff. That is totally unacceptable.
My business is mostly fully booked so I must be doing something right. This is one of a few really negative feedback I have ever received!
I do also appreciate you had a problem from the outset....where you queried the accommodation provided. I referred you to the website which you had used to initiate the booking; with pictures and copy that is truly reflective of the accommodation, you booked.
I will be relooking at my marketing to ensure there is no misunderstanding regarding the focus of my business and selectively remove/ change my listing accordingly.
I am happy to reimburse you for 2 nights as the rooms we rebooked to a shipping company who had commitments on a vessel that arrived.
