Emerald Spa's service is shocking.
I made a reservation at the spa a week before and left Port Elizabeth at 04:00 to meet my appointment at 09:00. The treatment must have taken 3 hours and after 2 and a half hours I was done and out. The treatment included "floatation theraphy" which was not offered. I was informed that the bathtub below that was being used was broken and the management of the hotel later confirmed that it had been out of order for months. I was offered no additional therapy in exchange, much less a reduction in the rate. The rest of the treatment was very rushed and not to be recommended. There are unlit candles everywhere in the spa. A really bad experience. Upon my arrival I was upgraded to a suite. The suite's bathroom smelled musty, but I didn't complain. The TV in my room was faulty and after investigation it was fixed and I was able to continue enjoying it despite the fact that I had to call reception three times and remind them to please come and fix it because I want to bathe and can't bathe because I know that they were on their way. There was no water in the room. I called for a bottle of water and got it.
