Pleasant, but not without some frustrations.

Our cottage, despite being very small, was perfectly comfortable for the two of us and was well equipped. For elderly people like us, who are not as technologically savvy as the younger generation, I would like to suggest the owners add simple guideline info sheets for connecting the gas supply for hot water; 2 minutes into my shower, the beautifully hot water went to freezing cold. Also, no matter what I did, apart from connecting with Netflix, I could not get the TV to work.

Compact but well equipped, ideally located for exploring the Midlands Meander.

Compact but nice and comfortable, perfect for a short stay. Facilities included a heater in winter, well equipped kitchen, instantly hot water. Carport next to unit. Excellent communication from owner and clear instructions on how to enter and how to use everything. Ideally located to use as a base to explore the Midlands Meander.

Ons het baie lekker gebly in Cape Chameleon. Onvoorsiene probleempies het onmiddellik aandag geniet van die gasvrou. Die plek was skoon en netjies.

Felt unsafe, poor ventilation, broken window, too small. Not recommended.

Our first impression of the place was quite disappointing, as we had expected much better. My wife, infant, and I did not feel safe during our stay, which made it difficult for me to sleep. While the space was clean, it was far too small, and the ventilation was poor. After showering, the entire area remained filled with steam for the rest of the night because we couldn’t leave a window open—there were no burglar bars for security. To make matters worse, we arrived to find a broken window on the door, allowing mosquitoes and other bugs to get in. The cottage is also located next to an old church with graveyards, which added to the unsettling feeling. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

The getaway was just what we needed and felt like a home away from home.

Raak Rustig is nestled in the heart of Rosetta, it was the perfect getaway for a weekend with our kids and granddaughter. One is close enough to Nottingham Road to all the lovely little shops and the Ugly Duckling is literally across the road. The home was spacious, comfortable, clean and we had Wi-Fi, Showmax and Netflix. At times it was a little slow, but we loved our stay and would highly recommend this place. Cindy was very helpful and welcoming.

Die huis is ruim en goed toegerus met alle geriewe. Ons het baie lekker daar gebly en sal dit dus vir enige iemand aanbeveel. Die gasvrou het ons kom groet en seker gemaak dat alles reg is en ons laat weet hoe alles werk.

Too many flies and too little security.

The unit was infested with house flies, making relaxation impossible. The property is not properly fenced and people can simply walk through openings in the fence and onto the property. Posting the name Raak Rustig on the gate or building will make to house easier to find.

Ons is baie vriendelik ontvang deur die eienaar. Cindy het ons ingewag en seker gemaak dat alles 100 % reg en gemaklik is vir ons. Raak Rustig is 'n oulike oornagplekkie met baie spasie vir kinders om te kan rondhardloop en alles wat jy benodig is byderhand. Dit is veilig en maklik om te kry. Cindy het uit haar pad gegaan om ons by te staan en selfs na die tyd ons gekontak toe ons 'n selfoon by die eiendom vergeet het, om dit weer te kry. Sal beslis Raak Rustig aanbeveel!

Was special to meet the hostess in person. We will recommend this nice place to anyone looking for a self-catering venue in the Midlands. Thanks for all the extra facilities that wasn't even mentioned!

I would recommend Raak Rustig as a family getaway. Very clean and comfortable accommodation with everything you need for a self catering getaway. Just take your toaster along.

Plekkie is baie netjies. Hulle moet definitief die naam Raak Rustig êrens opsit. Mens ry op en af en soek na die plekkie omdat daar nie 'n naambord op is nie. Ons was vriendelik ontvang. Hondjies het ook hul aandjie daar geniet, want daar is buite vir hul plek om rond te hardloop. Waaier sal dalk help vir warmer dae.
