Beautiful, quiet, serene, relaxing.

The stay was absolutely amazing, the unit was clean and equipped with everything you need. The host personally checked me in and explained everything.

Die chalet by die rivier het die lekkerste onderdakstoep met gemaklike banke wat uitkyk oor die rivier reg voor jou deur en daar is 'n ingeboude braai. Ons het die mak perde, honde en natuurlewe so baie geniet en televisie glad nie gemis nie! Die lug is skoon en verfrissend en die energie op hierdie plaas bring 'n vrede in jou gemoed. Die eienaars straal lig en hul gasvryheid gaan jy ver soek om te ewenaar. Ons het opgedaag as vreemdelinge maar vertrek as 'familie'. Verlang jy na vrede, voel jou liggaam afgetakel en is jy dalk net nie op 'n goeie 'plek' op die oomblik nie? Indien wel, dan is hierdie die plaas om te besoek! Healing is within reach.

Pragtige ligging.

Ona het baie lekker gebly en was baie vriendelik en hulpvaardig. Ons kinders het die plaaslewe geniet. Baie dankie vir julle gasvryheid.

Neglected.

The chalet feels very neglected and needs some elbow grease and cleaning. The cupboards are full of unnecessary items for a holiday stay. The curtains are not hung properly, and some new linen would make a big difference as the stuff feels and looks really old. The sink needs a good scrub, and old cleaning items like brushes and sponges are just left next to the sink. I did not expect luxury, but I was very disappointed. The location is stunning, and this could be an absolute haven if properly cared for.

Not clean. Really far away from river. Owners 3 dogs were lovely but the piles of dog poo from them were so smelly that we could not eat outside or use the grass area.

Cleanliness: The cottage was full of flies and fully overloaded old fly straps that were hanging like macabre decor. The bathroom/toilet simply needed jik. Location: a very long walk from chalet to river. Should just be 'ridge chalet' not 'river ridge'. Owners' three dogs left piles of smelly poo all over the area. You had to dodge it. Kid couldn't play on grass. And we could not have morning coffee outside because the dog poo reeked. Big dogs x 3 = lots of giant messes. Rooms: room with bunks is dank.

Not only did Riverridge accommodate us on short notice they were friendly, helpful and really accommodating. The hosts made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. The farm has breathtaking views and cosy beds. The host's were so helpful and called us to direct us to the property and even waited for us outside. I definitely recommend staying at Riverridge lifestyle farm. We had a wonderful experience. Tracy.

Beautiful setting and gracious hosts.

Our younger children loved it but our teens less so. Simply because they are less fond of farm life. My 10 and 7 year old's just loved spending time with the horses and riding their bikes. The farm itself is steep for riding but they could ride on the road, which was quiet (although they did have to look out for cars). We loved the freedom of being free to walk around the property and use the kayak. Unless you have a boat the river is otherwise quite limited. We stayed at the top cottage but would love the one on the water next time.
