Description
Situated in the Champagne Valley, just past The Drakensberg Boys Choir, one finds this private and unique getaway home, the Rockwood Earth Lodge. The Lodge boasts an uninterrupted view of the Cathkin Peak and the Dragon's back, a mountain range that gets its name from the outline of the peaks and escarpment combined, to resemble the profile of a sleeping giant.
The Main Farmhouse has been lovingly restored over 4 years by the Rockwood Fella, to give you a sense of complete one with nature. Self-catering accommodation is offered in the colonial Main House with a wraparound patio and a pizza oven. Guests have access to braai facilities and can swim in the outdoor swimming pool, go cycling, or relax in the garden.
Reedbuck and duiker take their refuge in the surrounding indigenous garden in the whispering of the winds through the grass. As night tucks everything away, a million billion stars appear high above you winking sleep tight, you are safe.
