The Riverstone - Romantic Hideaway by the River

Gorgeous, nature all around, beautiful horses and people, a must stay!

It is a slice of heaven. I can definitely recommend Riverstone! Coco were amazing hosts and so friendly. We will definitely be back and wish we had booked a longer stay this time too.

Private, cosy, charming, enchanting.

It was such a lovely stay! The place was absolutely enchanting and charming and will definitely visit again in the near future! The photos provided completely underwhelm the beauty of the place. It really is a hidden gem! The horses were a lovely sight.

A real romantic gem for nature lovers.

An absolute gem if you love nature and silence. The washing machine was a lifesaver after travelling for 8 days! The hot tub does take time to heat in the winter, so be prepared to wait with some refreshments in hand. Extra wood is available, but it appears to be only on a cash basis. We do not carry cash, so this was one issue of doubt that can easily be avoided.

Our weekend stay was nothing short of blissful.

Our hosts were super helpful. The spacious accommodation provided ample room for two to relax and enjoy the serene surroundings. The comfortable bed ensured we were well-rested each morning, and the fireplace added a cosy touch to our evenings. We were surrounded by the tranquility of nature, offering the privacy and quiet we craved. The lovely weather allowed us to fully appreciate the peaceful atmosphere. Overall, it was a perfect, tranquil getaway that left us feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

Absolutely amazing stay.

10/5 if I could! This was absolutely amazing! Coco is super friendly and reachable via WhatsApp if anything is wrong. The jacuzzi has disco lights, which was an epic surprise, as well as the shower and toilet. The fireplace was really nice. They supply 1 basket of wood, which was enough for heating up the jacuzzi. They have more wood for a small fee. Really great stay, the kitchen is also well-equipped.

Very nice.

Very pleasant stay, nice facilities and clean. Area a little close to the main house and could hear them having an enjoyable time with lots of laughter, which was a little distracting from our peaceful getaway.

The Riverstone is a beautiful, peaceful little stay. Jonathan is an incredibly helpful host - he never took more than a couple of minutes to respond to any questions we had. The design of the cottage is just beautiful - we left feeling recharged and fresh, but sad that we didn't stay longer!

The place we stayed in was simply amazing, nice and quiet, farm vibe, perfect spot to reconnect with your loved one. Highly recommended.

No hot water day or night, the chill was taken out of the cold water to shower.

Unfortunately we went at the wrong time weather-wise. It was very cold in the morning and early evenings, so we never had the opportunity to use the hot bath. During the day, we visited nearby locations which we enjoyed.

Rustige natuur verblyf.

Die verblyf was perfek vir 2 mense uitgelê. Die oud gekruis met die nuut is perfek. Ons het alles wat beskikbaar was baie geniet. Saans kan mens die sterre baie helder sien, wat elke aand van ons verblyf 'n hoogtepunt was. Wat ons wel gepla het, was die feit dat warm water om te stort of te bad baie beperk was tot lou warm water soggens en saans. In die somer sal dit pas, maar nie in die wintertyd soos ons daar was nie.

Stunning!

Our stay was amazing. Love the hot tub, stunning weather and gazing at the Milky Way at night. Blitz and Ben visiting in the mornings and early evening was truly special. The house is spacious and the kitchen is very well equipped.

Our stay at this cabin was fantastic! The spacious accommodation had all the amenities for a comfortable stay, and the host was incredibly helpful and communicative. The highlight was the evening hot tub sessions under the starry sky—truly magical. Great value for money, and we definitely plan to return! Highly recommended.

Perfect getaway for city folk.

The pictures don't do it justice. It's way more amazing in person: big jacuzzi, big bath, big shower, and big bed. The view is stunning and the atmosphere was so relaxing. We went here for our anniversary getaway and I have to say this is our favourite getaway thus far. It was secluded enough for us to forget our big city worries and unwind. When the level 9 storm hit us, we could be as relaxed as possible because the rivers kept us safe from the flood. The owner also eased our worries and he was such a friendly guy. The owners worked during the storm to try and restore power and keep us safe as well. All necessary appliances were available: a stove, microwave, washing machine, etc. My car had safe undercover parking and it wasn't even touched during the storm, which eased my mind. The fireplace inside made it so comfy and warm, and don't even get me started on the amazing bath that was provided. Overall, I would recommend this stay to all my friends because I haven't been this relaxed in years, and to top it off with such a nice scenery, I would love to come back.

It was brilliant. We had a fantastic anniversary weekend and the town is stunning.

Blissful and peaceful.

What a peaceful and beautiful cottage. The hosts are welcoming and helpful. I spent the most glorious 5 days here and I would definitely go back again. I loved the furbabies checking in on me every day. The cottage has all the basic amenities and more. Even with loadshedding it hardly made any impact. There is a dishwasher and washing machine making long-term stays a pleasure. The hot tub is a lovely end of day pleasure. It's a slice of heaven.

This is the perfect romantic getaway from the busy city lifestyle. It's an absolute bliss. So peaceful and tranquil. You only hear the sound of the birds. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and looking forward to going there again. They deserve 5 stars.

This is a very beautiful place away from the city. Great views of nature and the two horses are just amazing. The hot tub is perfect for beautiful evenings and gazing at the stars. Great hosts as well.

What an amazing getaway! Die host was super nice, die cottage super privaat, netjies en alles wat mens kan dink om te wil gebruik, was daar! Blitz en Benjamin, die twee perde, het ons harte gesteel! Thank you Coco and Jonothan for an amazing three nights. Next time we will book longer!

Peaceful getaway from city life.

We had an amazing stay at the cottage. The host welcomed us in the rain, as we arrived during loadshedding and made sure, we were okay. The space is very down to earth and exactly what we needed. The hot tub was lovely and got really hot. The horses roaming around and the river running right by the cottage added to the tranquil farm life that we thoroughly enjoyed. There was ample wood available for braai, the indoor fireplace and the hot tub. My only suggestion would be for guests to take along some fire starters to make fire making a bit easier. We also loved how many windows there were, that allowed beautiful views throughout the day. And even though the hosts stay on the property, we had complete privacy, with the help of knowing we could WhatsApp them if we had any questions. Thank you, Coco and Jonathan!

Privaat en 'n fantastiese kombuis om tuis kos te maak, maar ook naby lekker eetplekke/restaurante. Die foto's kan nie weerspieël hoe fantasties die plekkie regtig is nie!

A secluded romantic destination.

What a gorgeous getaway! Jonathan and Coco were superb hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. Even though the guesthouse is located near the owner's house, you have all the privacy you need - hearing only the wildlife around you. The house is very well equipped with everything you could need, there is both a big bathtub and shower. The hot tub right at the entrance was such a winner, and the horses coming to say hello made it so much more special. We will definitely be coming back!

Baie ongewone plekkie, maar pragtig skoon en netjies.

Ons het Napier toe gegaan vir die patatfees en twee aande oorgeslaap by The Riverstone - Romantic Hideaway by the River. Regtig 'n pragtige skoon en netjies plekkie met alle ekstras (wasmasjien, skottelgoedmasjien) regtig baie oulik. Ons het nie die eienaars ontmoet nie, maar alles wat ons nodig gehad het was baie volledig of op WhatsApp of met 'n verwelkomingsbrief in die eenheid gekommunikeer.
