Not too pleasant.

I regret to send this email as I am usually not a person to complain, but we are of the opinion that the lodge does not meet the standards or requirements as they are advertised. It also does not seem as if it should qualify as a 4-star lodge. Except for the friendly staff who received us well, the following issues are just unacceptable for a 4-star lodge: 1. The water was an issue every day. We had to call the staff to assist to restore the water at least 2 times per day. There was no water on day one of our arrival and we had to bathe our little 1-year-old in cold water. 2. The braai at the swimming pool area is unusable. 3. There is black mould on the ceiling in one of the bathrooms; in some places, the ceiling is coming off and the shower doors cannot close properly. 4. There are no wine glasses. 5. On the stoep, there are only 3 chairs for a unit that accommodates 6 people, and the chairs are so flimsy. A big man like myself (115kg) cannot sit on these chairs as they will break. 6. One of the closet doors in the main bedroom cannot even open because the curtain rail is incorrectly attached to the wall and blocks the door. 7. The staff quarters sit directly below the unit. The people did bother us, but this is not common for a 4-star lodge in our view. 8. The aircon in the main lounge leaks through the wall, and the entire carpet in the lounge was soaking wet every day. This is unacceptable and disappointing, and we will not recommend this place to anyone who is expecting to get a 4-star experience in the bush, maybe a 2/3 star.

Yskas werk nie. Waterlek van yskas of lugversorger in eetkamer deur na die sitkamer. Sitkamer se bank is geskeur. Tuinmeubels moet vervang word. Swembad is vuil.
