House Rules
- A vehicle with higher ground clearance is recommended.
- No solid groundsheets, please. Only netted ground sheets to protect the grass. Proper groundsheets are available by prior arrangement at a minimum cost.
- No loud or amplified music. Only acoustic instruments are allowed.
- No noise between 22:00 and 08:00.
- No swimming at the weir at the campsite or in the reservoir – it provides drinking water for approximately 90 families. Swimming is allowed at the rock pool (about a 5-minute walk on the trail).
- Leave only your footprints. Garbage bins are available.
- Please keep the ablution facilities neat as you would like to receive them.
- No fires allowed outside of the built braais.
- Please protect nature, heritage sites and buildings, San rock art and other heritage that was left for us to appreciate.
- No guns, hunting, or target shooting is allowed.
- Personnel of the farm will from time to time manage the irrigation from the reservoir. They are just doing their job and will not bother you.
- Please feel free to roam, jog, cycle around on the farm. There is a trail passing the swimming rock pool which is less used, but will take you to San rock art, more pools and the top weir used for the hydro-electricity (+/- 800m).
- All visitors and guests enters and make use of the premises of Ruah Camping and Sonskyn Farm at their own risk, and release, agree to indemnify and hold Ruah Camping and Sonskyn Farm, its owners and officers, employees and agents free and harmless from any and all costs, losses, expenses, damages (direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise), claims, suits, causes of action or any other liability or responsibility whatsoever, including attorney’s fees and related costs, resulting from any injury to any person(s) or damage to property arising out of, or which may in any manner be connected with, any activity at Ruah Camping and Sonskyn Farm.
