House Rules
The cottages are supplied with clear borehole water, which runs on an electrical pump system. During load shedding, guests are advised to ensure they have plenty of drinking water. A 7L glass decanter of potable water is provided at the start of the stay.
For security reasons, all guests must provide their IDs and contact details when booking. This information is used solely for security purposes and is deleted after the booking ends.
Only registered guests are allowed at the cottages; any day visitors must be arranged and approved in advance with online management and security.
Parking is available in front of each cottage on the designated paved area. Security surveillance cameras are installed on the property’s perimeter and parking areas; these are monitored off-site by Innoza Group Security.
The front door of the cottage facing the road must be kept closed at all times.
Smoking is prohibited indoors; ashtrays are provided in the garden area for outdoor smoking.
Guests are asked to respect the privacy of those staying in Blouberg Cottage and The Loft apartment.
Sage Cottage is self-catering, with complimentary ‘Welcome Packs’ provided upon arrival.
Housekeeping can be arranged once a week, subject to availability and prior scheduling.
Guests are responsible for any damages or breakages during their stay, with full repair costs or replacements charged accordingly. Dated images of the cottage rooms are taken by management before each stay.
The air-conditioner must be turned off when leaving the cottage.
Municipal by-laws prohibit loud noise after 22:00 from Sunday to Thursday and after midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
The hot tub is used at guests' own risk and should not be moved.
Braaiing is only allowed in the Weber provided, which must be kept on the paved area, never on the artificial grass. Fires should not be lit in windy conditions and must be extinguished after use.
For guests with pets, a maximum of two dogs are allowed. Only well-behaved pets are accepted. Pets should not be left unattended, and all waste must be removed, with the grass area washed down. Pets are not allowed on the furniture.
A larger black refuse bin is provided in the garden. For longer stays, the garden gate is left unlocked on Fridays for access to the municipal bin for refuse disposal. Refuse must be kept in closed bags.
Guests staying for extended periods are kindly requested to water the pot plants when needed.
Departure is by 10:00, and keys should not be left in the doors. Please leave the doors and the security gate unlocked.
Wood-Fired Hot Tub Instructions:
Fill the tub with water past the second hole.
Add wood to the fire pit, place Blitz at the bottom, and light it. Then add more wood.
Do not fill the fire pit past the top.
Ensure there are flames, or the tub will not heat up.
Only use Blitz to start the fire—no other flammable items like oil or turpentine.
The tub takes 1 to 2 hours to heat up. Stir the water every 15 to 25 minutes using the paddle provided.
Empty the tub only once the water has cooled. Hot water should not be emptied as it will damage the plants.
The hot tub fire pit is not for braaiing; use the Weber instead.
Fold-up booster seats are available inside the cottage’s living room cupboard for use in the hot tub.
Dispose of ash in bin bags, not directly in the bins.
For additional wood, visit Des Woods, or order via Checkers Sixty60 or PnP ASAP apps.
