Expected more for what we paid.

San Lameer is amazing. Beautiful estate, well run and safe. The unit, however, was not good value for money at peak season rates. Very outdated, the cupboards are old and run down. Bathrooms are very basic. The main bedroom shower is in the bath and not a comfortable shower. Both showers leak terribly; the floors are under water after a shower. The kitchen is not well equipped and also needs some upgrades. The braai is very small and feels like an afterthought. Nice patio furniture and a nice big patio to sit outside. The unit is very well located in the estate and close to amenities. It would be far better value for money out of season. I expected way more for a day.

Die foto's doen geen reg aan die toestand van die eenheid nie. Ons het drie dae voor ons bestemde vertrektyd uitgetrek en huis toe gegaan aangesien ons nie langer kans gesien het om daar te bly nie!

The shower head in the master bedroom is so old that it broke off when we tried to turn it upright. There is a musty musty smell throughout the unit especially in the back master bedroom. Both shower doors leak water when you shower and may be the reason for the musty smell. The air conditioning units were effective which helps if you keep them on to remove the musty smell. It is clear that the on-site manager is not passing on the necessary information to head office about the condition of the unit. We have been going to Sanlamer for 20 years and it was really not a pleasant experience because of the unit 2414.

We will return to San Lameer.

Shower shield in main bathroom leaked a lot. Aircon needs maintenance. Noisy and does not work well. One wardrobe was full of stuff. Not usable for guests. Kitchen needs a deep clean. Drawers etc. Very well-equipped. Size: ideal for 4 people only. Food and service at clubhouse disappointing.
