Description
Sandune Game Lodge is a luxury safari lodge set on 9000 hectares in the Kalahari Forest near Gobabis, which is located 188 km from Windhoek's International Airport. The lodge offers luxury accommodation, on-site and local activities, world-class cuisine, and exceptional hospitality.
Accommodation is offered in either a villa, a room, a cottage, or a campsite. The bedrooms in each unit are furnished with either a king-size bed, 2 single beds, or 2 three-quarter beds. Each unit includes en-suite bathrooms fitted with bath and shower facilities. The campsites share ablution facilities fitted with a shower, toilet, and washbasin.
Each villa and room includes tea- and coffee-making facilities, while the cottages each include a self-catering kitchen. The lodge has over 2000 game animals and over 20 different species. Guests can enjoy a luxurious breakaway in a malaria-free destination with free-roaming game and herds of wildlife, including oryx, giraffe, impala, zebras, sables, and more.
The lodge offers full African breakfasts, outdoor lunches, boma braais, lodge meals, and sundowner spots to watch the sunset over the African bushveld. Sandune's bar and lounge have glass stack doors that open onto the rim-flow pool to create an alfresco experience. The long, L-shaped bar and lounge follow the line of the pool to create an airy but cosy atmosphere, and in winter, there is a fireplace to provide additional warmth. Guests can relax with a drink on the pool deck, which is a prime vantage point for game viewing.
