House Rules
General information
- There is no TV set or Wi-Fi connection.
- The use of drones is illegal.
- No pets allowed.
- Please bring your own wood for use at the braai area.
- Yoga classes can be booked between 08:00 and 09:00. Please book in advance.
- Massage treatments can be arranged.
- Tours up the Sani Pass and into Lesotho can be arranged with the on-site tour company, Drakensberg Adventures, that offers special rates and tours to guests. Please book your tour with us in advance.
- No smoking permitted in any of the rooms or public areas. A fine of R500 will be enforced.
Food
- Please reserve dinner the day before. Dinner is a 3-course meal served at 6.30pm
- The on-site restaurant, the Giants Cup Café, is open for breakfast ,pancakes, toasted sandwiches, cappuccino and cake.
- The Shop at the Giants Cup sells our on-site made ceramics, acrylic paintings, local handcrafts, a wide variety of dairy produce from our own cows, including fresh milk, cream, butter, cream cheese, ice cream, cheese, halloumi, feta, yogurt, and also braai wood.
Camping
- There are no power points at the camp site. Generators are not permitted.
- Campers may use the campers’ kitchen in the camping area that is equipped with gas burners, stove, kettle, sink, and work surfaces, but should bring all their own cutlery and crockery, pots and pans. Please use the recycling bins in the kitchen to dispose of your rubbish.
- The kitchens at the main lodge are not to be used by campers.
- Owing to our deep rural location in the Drakensberg, baboons are around. Please ensure your food is kept locked up in your vehicle and not left in your tent.
- Never feed baboons, jackals, stray dogs.
Admission policy for all guests including campers.
- The right is reserved to order any tenant off the premises who renders himself guilty of violating any of the general rules regarding accommodation and utilization of facilities or of indecent behaviour or any other form of misconduct, without a refund on prepaid accommodation.
- No person may do or permit any act that could prove to be a nuisance, obstruction, hindrance disrespect to any other person.
- The facilities available at the Lodge are strictly reserved for the use of residents only. No visitors to guests staying are allowed to stay overnight or use the facilities.
- No motorbikes to be started and left running, ridden on site or revved at any time during the day or night.
- No pets allowed.
- As a family destination for people to enjoy nature ,no music is allowed to be played by way of car radios or otherwise.
- No noise tolerated before 8am or after 9.30pm.
- On arrival, holders of reservations must produce proof of identification.
