Description
The SANParks Delwerskamp Coastal Camp Site is located in the Namaqua National Park. Situated in the heart of the Succulent Karoo the Park has grown enormously and stretches from the well-known Skilpad section, near Kamieskroon, on the escarpment westwards to the coast. Escape to the land of contrasts, where the rigorous climate has created a myriad of life forms superbly adapted to their specific habitat. Fields of flowers, star studded nights, quiver trees, enormous granite outcrops and the icy Atlantic are but a few wonders that await the visitor.
Delwerskamp sits on a rocky shore and has a beautiful small beach just to the north of the camp. The beaches northward are popular for hiking.
The Delwerskamp Coastal Camp Site is a rustic campsite that aims to maintain the wilderness character of this coastline. Guests need to be totally self-sufficient and bring everything they may need for camping. The sites have no water, electricity or ablutions, and only have enviro toilets. There is no cellphone reception.
There is wood available at Groenriver gate, but it is recommended that you bring your own wood.
