A maximum of 6 campers, 1 caravan with a side tent and 1 vehicle, or 1 tent and 1 vehicle, or 1 autovilla or motorised caravan will be permitted per site. The sites have use of communal ablutions, and scullery facilities. These sites do not have power points. Extra vehicles are charged an additional fee per night.

Please note: From 1 September 2017 all visitors over 18 years old will be required to produce an identity document, passport or alternative valid identification e.g. driver’s licence card for scanning upon entering/exiting the Parks.
A standard daily conservation fee of R240 for foreign visitors, R120 for SADC nationals with a valid passport, and R60 for South African Citizens and Residents with ID, will be required on entry to the park.
The gates in Golden Gate do not close, the road running through the Park is a public road which does not allow for the installation of any boom gates;
Gate control is done at both receptions (Golden Gate Hotel and Glen Reenen Rest Camp) on arrival;
Visitors with reserved accommodation who arrive after 17:30 may collect the keys to their accommodation at the Security Office, Glen Reenen Filling Station.
The use of drones inside (and over) our national parks is strictly prohibited.
No smoking is allowed inside the accommodation.
Remember, by feeding any wildlife you are signing their death warrant, as they become agressive.
As outdoor lighting in camps is limited, a torch/headlamp is required when walking outside at night.
Hikers on day and overnight trails must always carry sufficient water.
Pets are not allowed in a National Park.
Cancellation Policy - Custom
Cancelling or downgrading of a reservation 45 days or less prior to, or on, arrival will result in cancellation fees according to a sliding scale, based on the total reservation cost, which varies between 50% and 100%.
