Environment amazing, housing nice and well located, but signs of poor maintenance everywhere. The museum and the restaurant can only close with current presentation. What I don't understand is the lack of maintenance, but the most expensive vehicles, all Toyota "Cruisers".
Roads in all directions really in poor condition, and driving through Messina was a shock.

Some of the most beautiful nature.
Camp is surrounded by some of the most beautiful rock formations and the units are of high quality with its spacious rooms. The drinking place with the presence of the elephants in the camp was an experience. Mapungubwe, with especially Leokwe Rest Camp, is one of the best SANParks we have ever visited.

Historical breakaway.
Wow! What a beautiful camp. From check-in, the staff was friendly and helpful. Beautiful, cool museum. Nice takeaway meals. Parking area is ruined by drought and too many elephants. Tour to Mapungubwe was definitely a highlight. John, our guide, was very knowledgeable. Definitely a place worth visiting. Leokwe camp is beautiful, has spacious chalets, and is beautifully laid out. Visit in winter months, since it is unbearably hot in summer. It was 40 degrees every day.

A very interesting place with unique rock formations and cute cabins.
SANParks has done an exceptional development, but unfortunately we could only stay one night. What did disappoint me is that the guided tour up Mapungubwe hill at 07:00, although indicated on the reception board, did not take place. On weekends, the needs of guests should receive particular attention and such cancellations should not happen.
