Santa Nature Reserve, previously Santa Estate, is a 2000-hectare property consisting of rolling mountain grasslands, wetlands, forests, rivers, and dams.
Accommodation on the Reserve consists of 3 cosy, self-catering cottages. Each cottage has a comfortable lounge with a fireplace, a dining room, and a well-equipped kitchen. Heaters in the bedrooms and electric blankets ensure you stay snug during Dullstroom's bracing winter nights. Enjoy the verandahs and braai facilities on summer evenings. The cottages are serviced.
Santa Nature Reserve is a perfect weekend getaway destination for friends and families. The Reserve has a 6 km stretch of the Lunsklip River, several mountain streams, weirs, and dams for swimming. Explore the Reserve, which is also a working cattle farm, on foot or by bike, roll out a blanket for a family picnic, or look out for some of the area's endemic bird species and its unique wildflowers. Alternatively, curl up with a book and a glass of wine next to a wood-burning fire.
Located 12 km outside of Dullstroom and adjacent to Walkersons Hotel and Spa, Santa Nature Reserve allows you to get away whilst still being close enough to enjoy what Dullstroom and its surrounds have to offer. Fishing on Santa Nature Reserve is operated separately through the Santa Fly Fishing Syndicate. Enquiries can be made.
