Staying at Scarborough Hilltop House was a real treat. The views of the ocean from the hilltop were stunning, especially at sunrise and sunset. The house itself was cosy and well-decorated, making it a comfortable place to relax. It was a perfect spot to enjoy the beauty of the sea and unwind.

Wonderful views, beautiful home, and comfy beds!

We had a fantastic stay. The views from the patios are incredible. The house itself is beautiful and nicely laid out. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well-appointed. It was so nice to be able to braai and watch the sunset, and the large dining table was perfect.

Relaxing weekend away!

Lovely stay, beautiful views. Would have loved an electric blanket or extra heater. An air fryer would have been great. The bottom loo needs attention. Blinds banged all night against the window and door to the bottom room.

Scarborough Hilltop House was everything that we expected. Lovely deck, open plan family area. Facilities and amenities met all of our needs.

The fact that the accommodation felt like a family home suited us. Puzzles, TV, books etc. were open to be accessed, which made us feel at home. We used the wood braai most evenings - lovely. We tried the gas braai one night, and the gas was too low to complete the cooking - no big deal and it did not take away from the accommodation. The entrance to the driveway was tricky to negotiate - we had a high clearance vehicle. Not sure how a sedan would have coped. We do understand that heavy rains had occurred - and this is not a complaint, as it was not a big issue, just fyi for future guests.

Very lovely and a comfortable stay.

Very beautiful home on top of a hill. Very clean and well-equipped with everything you will need. Only problem for us was the parking space as we did not have a 4x4 vehicle and it is very steep, especially when it is wet or raining. Overall an excellent place for a nice, quiet, relaxing holiday.

We had a lovely stay here despite the weather.

This house has all the comforts of home and we could all relax there. The host communicated very well and was extremely accommodating. We were a multi-generational family. I would mention that both the stairs up to the house and the drive at the back were rather steep, so I think that should be mentioned. It didn't bother us, but perhaps elderly people would battle?

Ons het ons verblyf by Scarborough verskriklik baie geniet. Die huisie is pragtig ingerig en met persoonlike items soos legkaarte, CD's en DVD's, wat die plekkie soos 'n eie huis laat voel het. Die eienaars het verskillende lampies en kerse wat loadshedding draagbaar gemaak het. Die huis het 'n pragtige uitsig en selfs 'n agterpaadjie waarmee 'n mens op die koppie kan gaan stap. Hierdie huis is nie vir ouer mense nie - daar is heelwat trappe om bagasie teen uit te dra. Scarborough se paadjies laat my dink aan Engeland se nou paadjies. Kan nie help om die wonder hoe kry die ouens wat nuut boumateriale daar in nie. Ons het hierdie as basis gebruik om Kaappunt en Tafelberg te besoek. Simonstad met sy besienswaardighede is ook om die draai. Dankie Peter dat ons julle huisie kon geniet!

We've had a wonderful stay at Hilltop House.

Hilltop House is the perfect spot to relax and unwind. Peter has ensured that the house is fully equipped for everything that makes a holiday memorable, from the washing machine to the puzzles and binoculars. We felt pampered and are leaving refreshed and looking forward to returning!

We enjoyed our stay in Scarborough Hilltop house.

The house is bigger than what I saw in the pictures. We felt at home away from home. Though the weekend was cold a gas heater was available, so we were sorted. The house is secured and the area is quiet.

Ongelooflike uitsig en 'n bitter lekker kuierhuis.

'n Baie lekker wegbreek saam met familie - die 6 van ons het heerlik gekuier. Die huis se ligging en uitsig is ongelooflik en die buurt is stil en privaat. Die huis leef en kuier baie lekker en alles is daar, was nie nodig om enige iets behalwe klere in te pak nie. Ons het koue weer gehad, so die gasverwarmer was 'n bonus. Was regtig 'n groot bederf.

Pragtige uitsig, goed toegerus.

Dit was duidelik dat die eienaars vergeet het dat ons kom, maar daar is verskoning gemaak daarvoor. Persone wat sukkel met trappe klim moet liefs iewers anders soek. Die oprit na die agterste parkering area is baie styl en ek glo nie geskik vir normale sedans nie. Daar is wel parkeerplek voor, maar dan beteken dit redelik baie klim om bagasie in huis te kry.

Die ligging is fantasties met die see voor jou en ongerepte berge agter.

Peaceful and cosy.

A warm and homely destination with a spectacular view. Loved watching the kite surfers in the breakers. It had all we needed for a quick weekend getaway.

Lekke kuier.

Scarborough Hilltop House is 'n gerieflike vakansie-akkommodasie. Alles wat benodig kan word is daar, puik bedlinne en goeie kwaliteit handdoeke. Alhoewel die weer nie gunstig was (dit reën immers in die winter in die Kaap), het ons heerlike strand- en wandelpad uitstappies gehad. Binnenshuis was dit legkaarte, speletjies en Netflix. Simonstad en die pikkewyne is ook nie te ver om te ry. Ons het baie lekker gekuier vir 4 dae en sal beslis weer terugkeer. Dié keer in die somer, son en strand.

The pictures don't really do this place justice, it is really magnificent and well equipped. The views from the front and rear are spectacular and the owners have really kitted the place out with much to keep you occupied should the weather not play along. We had 1 or 2 minor niggles but owner Peter went out of his way to sort it out super quickly. Our family loves Scarborough so I can see us booking this place again.

Ongelooflike kuierhuis.

Ek het besluit om my verjaardag met my vrou en kinders by hierdie wonderlike plek te vier. Ons het 'n heerlike wegbreeklangnaweek daarvan gemaak. Die uitsig is ongelooflik, die huis is puik ingerig en dit is die ideale plek om te ontspan en net die natuurskoon te geniet. Die stilte en rustigheid is ongekend vir ons as stadsmense en ons kon snags slaap met die geruis van die see in die agtergrond. Die nagte is pikdonker aangesien daar nie straatligte is nie. Al wat jy hoef saam te neem is jou klere. Die res is alles daar. Ek kan die huis met die grootste vrymoedigheid aanbeveel!

We loved waking up to the views and sound of the ocean. The house had everything we needed, so well equipped. Perfect spot for a family holiday!

'n Pragtige, gemaklike en ontspannende huis met uitsigte vir myle aan alle kante. Wonderlike aktiwiteite oral rondom en die plaaslike delis en restaurante is puik! Kan nie wag om weer te gaan nie!

Spectacular view, worth every penny, location perfect.

Comfortable, friendly, near good food, beaches, nature, mountain behind and sea in front. Would certainly return. A comfortable distance from everything that matters.

Charming holiday house feeling.

Our 6 headed family from Namibia had a pleasant stay at Hilltop House. Amazing view from top of the hill. Very peaceful homely feeling. Amazing hiking trails leading out of the back garden into the mountains with scenic views. Will definitely stay there again.

Stunning views, beautiful house, clean and tidy. It's the most beautiful accommodation I have been to, would love to actually move in there. Please, if you're looking for a place to stay in and around that area, go there! It's a MUST DO! Hope to stay there again soon.

A great house with a perfect view of beautiful Scarborough.

This house is the perfect place to stay if you are looking to get away from the business of city life. The view is spectacular and the house has everything you need. We especially loved the outdoor shower and the open-plan dining/kitchen/lounge area. It is a magical place and we will definitely be back!
