House Rules
Served Cooked English breakfast is available during your stay on request at an additional fee. These need to be ordered at least one day prior to the day of arrival in advance. This service is subject to availability.
An additional single sleeper couch can be added in some of the rooms, on request and at an additional fee. A maximum of one sleeper couch is allowed per room for a maximum of one child under the age of 13 and is subject to availability due to the limited number of single sleeper couches available. Any person 13 years and older making use of the additional single sleeper couch does so entirely at their own risk. No sleeper couch is allowed in the Paradise En Suite room situated on the first-floor level.
Children under the age of 3 are not charged per night. A sleeping cot will be made available in the room, subject to availability. No children U/3 allowed in rooms situated on the first-floor level
It is advisable to check in from 14:00 but before 18:00 at your earliest convenience as reception closes at 18:00 and there is no staff on duty from 19:00. No late check-in is allowed after 19:00
Check-out is at 10:00 on the day of departure. No late room departures will be allowed after 10:30. Late room check-out and departure fees are applicable from 10:31 onwards on the day of departure.
Free Wi-Fi is provided to overnight guests in the lounge and dining areas. Fair usage is applicable.
Guests have access to Weber Braai facilities by prior arrangement and confirmation only. Guest need to supply their own food, briquettes/charcoal and firelighters. The Weber braais are subject to availability. Our staff works intermittent hours and are not always available, should a guest like to have a braai on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, prior arrangement must be made before 12:00 on the Friday for our staff to get everything out and ready for your braai, for a braai during the week Monday – Thursday prior arrangement must be made at least the day before. Regretfully we will not be able to assist/help with any late requests for a braai. Only briquettes and/or charcoal are allowed to be used in Weber braais.
No smoking is allowed inside the Guest House and bedrooms. Smokers are more than welcome to smoke in the outside areas and the Gazebo of the guest house. Should a guest not abide by these terms, the guest will, unfortunately, be held liable for a room refreshing fee payable for additional cleaning and freshening of the room.
No day visitors are allowed. Guests are not allowed to invite family, friends, acquaintances, and/or visitors over for a visit and/or braai, with no exceptions. Onsite facilities for the exclusive enjoyment of guests of Sea Otters Lodge and the owners.
Guide dogs are only allowed in Tropical and Harbour rooms on the ground floor level and only by arrangement.
