A pleasant and enjoyable stay, thank you.

Beautiful area, quiet. Gugu very welcoming and friendly. I was offered coffee or fruit juice on arrival. Very comfortable and spacious accommodation and stylishly fitted. The hardwood slabs are a beautiful addition (bedroom as a countertop and bathroom).

Ons het baie lekker gebly en die gasvryheid was uit die boeke en almal was baie vriendelik gewees.

Baie meer as wat ek verwag het!

Dit was heerlik! Gugu is die gastehuis se grootste aanwins. Ons het haar laat weet ons gaan later as die aankomstyd arriveer. Sy was so gaaf om vir ons te wag en het die heerlikste koffie voorgesit. Ontbyt die volgende oggend was heerlik! Gugu doen soveel moeite om mens welkom en gemaklik te laat voel. Die bed het heerlik geslaap en die eenheid was skoon en netjies. Ons wou vroeg vertrek en Gugu het weereens 'n heerlike ontbyt voorgesit. Baie dankie Gugu vir jou uitstekende diens.

We booked at Shelbourne Boutique as a stopover for a night. We were very pleased with the overall use of space and the neat, clean accommodation. My family was very comfortable at the lodge. The host was very accommodating.

Lovely people and stunning rooms.

We had a wonderful stay! Great value for money. The kids enjoyed the swimming pool. The team at the lodge truly go above and beyond. The rooms were serviced every morning, and the breakfast was great with generous portions. The parking is, however, a bit of an issue. If you are not comfortable with tight parking spaces, it might pose a challenge. I will stay here again!

Behalwe vir die steurende bure, baie lekker.

Gugu is 'n baie goeie gasvrou en was baie hulpvaardig met vrae en spesiale versoeke. Daar is egter 'n probleem met steurende klank wat deur die muur kom van die kamer langsaan. Die eienaar sal iets daaraan moet doen, die mense langsaan het nie geraas gemaak nie, hulle het net met mekaar gesels en dit het geklink of hulle langs ons is. Het gesukkel om te slaap.

It sounds good, but it's not - unfortunately.

We booked a 2-bedroom unit for 2 nights. Gugu, our host, was great and makes a delicious breakfast, but that's where the good news stops. This is not a boutique lodge as advertised. This is a guest house and not a quiet one. Guests on the upper floor are clearly heard in the downstairs unit. The owner's personal belongings are still in the drawers, the roof leaks, the door handle to the unit is loose and fell off. The pool is dirty. The parking space is an issue - only space for 3 cars max, and we had to do a car shuffle. The place needs some serious attention to advertise itself as a boutique lodge.

Okay for overnight stay.

Gugu from reception had excellent service! Welcoming and went the extra mile for us. She made the stay worth it.

Lovely stay - perfect for what I needed.

Lovely place to stay and perfectly located for our needs. It would be nice to have a Nespresso machine and some bathroom mats for wet feet. I wouldn't stay there for a holiday as it's not as spacious as I expected, but we were quite happy. It was clean and modern. The host was very pleasant and friendly.

Plek is baie mooi. Pam is fantasties en die ligging is naby die strand, winkelsentrums, en die besigheidsdistrik.

Shelbourne is excellently situated in an upmarket area near all the best amenities of the area and has five star accommodation. Pam is an excellent friendly hostess who is always willing to help in any way possible. Home from home.

I have travelled a lot internationally and nationally and rest assured, this type and quality of accommodation and hospitality is not often found anywhere. Pam's breakfast is the best you'll find for the price. Top value for money. An excellent place to stay.

Neat and tidy.

My stay was a short one however I felt very comfortable from the moment I arrived. The property is well kept with good hospitality.

Ontvangs was baie goed. Ontvang deur die huishoudster wie ons verwelkom het met 'n koue glasie sap. Daar was voldoen aan sekere versoeke wat gerig was.

Op ons pad na ons finale destinasie, MSC net vir 1 nag. Die bestuurder/eienaar, is op haar pos, spontaan, vriendelik en gretig om bystand te lewer.

Comfortable and suited for the required purpose. Sleepover venue. The parking is very limited with no protection from the sun. Venue suited for short visits only.

Business travel.

Good place to stay at for business travels where breakfast is provided. Nice area with lots of birdlife around. Parking for larger vehicles might be a bit challenging if the BnB is full. Enjoyed our stay. Friendly staff.

Nie baie tevrede nie.

Hulle adverteer dat hulle troeteldiere aanvaar, maar was nie ingenome toe ons opdaag met ons hondjie nie.

Was lekker, maar het nie die kamer gekry wat ons gebook het.

Privaatheid was okay.

Don't have enough space to mention or show pictures of how filthy our house was.

1st we got moved to a shared suite while we actually booked 2 totally separate rooms (one top floor and one by pool). 2nd the place was filthy, mould in bathrooms, dirty bedding, dirty curtains (meant to be white but grey cause it wasn't washed since who knows, food spatter on roof! Wish I could show what windows look like behind stove and utensils, mugs and jugs not washed properly, rims and food still in and on them.

Ons verblyf was baie lekker. Skoon en rustig. Die ligging is uitstekend. Dis naby aan die strand en restaurante.

Ek kan Selbourne Lodge beslis aanbeveel. Die air-con in die kamer was 'n groot voordeel en die bed slaap soos 'n droom.

The staff is very friendly and the place is extremely clean.

Also in a very safe neighbourhood and close to the mall and the beach. We really enjoyed our stay and the place is really clean.

Sal enige een aanbeveel om hier te bly, hulle het ons so op ons gemak laat voel dat ek enige gesin sal aanraai om hier te kan bly. Die staf is super vriendelik. Bespreek met 'n geruste hart, want jy gaan kry wat jy sien, en meer.

Shelbourne Lodge het 'n fantastiese ligging en 'n pragtige see-uitsig van die kant af. Die kamers en badkamers is groot en die skeepsvaarttema is pragtig. Die eienaar is super vriendelik. Dit is ook baie veilig en ons woonstel was elke dag skoon gemaak, selfs op 'n openbare vakansie dag! "To say I was impressed was an understatement!". Die enigste ding wat ons woonstel nodig gehad het was 'n DVD-masjien vir die dae wat dit gereën het.

Decent place to sleep over for few days.

The place is clean and in a nice suburb, but the parking is too small if there are many guest booked in at the same time. So, overall it's a decent place.

Stylvolle interieur! Die vriendelike eienaar het elke dag kom inloer en gehelp waar moontlik.

'n Mens kan heerlik ontspan in die eenheid of langs die swembad, maar hou maar 'n ogie oor kindertjies aangesien die swembad oop is. Die eienaar is baie belangstellend en tegemoetkomend, en maak heerlike ontbyt op aanvraag (teen ekstra koste). Die eenhede word daagliks opgeruim en skoongemaak, wat dit regtig na 'n vakansie laat voel! Daar is nie veel van 'n see-uitsig nie.

Baie gerieflik, skoon en prakties.

Die enigste probleem wat ondervind was, is met parkering wat baie knap is. Die hitte-aanvoeling was ook baie hoog en die verhuurder sal die lugversorger voor die tyd moet aanskakel om die eenheid af te koel. Dit vat te lank as jy arriveer om dit dat eers aan te skakel.

Uitstekende waarde vir geld

Ons het ons veblyf baie geniet. Alles is pragtig skoon en netjies en baie privaat. Almal is baie vriendelik en die uitsig baie mooi. Die ontbyt wat in die kamer bedien word is ook baie goed. Ons sal verseker weer daar gaan bly. Ons kon fout vind met niks. Baie dankie!

Simply brilliant

A brilliant place to stay at, run by brilliant people and in a brilliant location.

This is a lovely unit but the customer service needs to be sorted out.

We stayed at Shelbourne Lodge during Indaba. This self-catering unit is adequate for a short stay. Clean and bright. There are only 2 rooms and at the time they were being booking separately. There is a well equipped kitchen although small and TV's in both rooms and in the lounge. Close to the M4 and also Gateway and La Lucia Malls. We would have appreciated a better welcome after a long drive. We arrive in the poring rain and were not offer an umbrella to get to our accommodation. The person greeting us stood watching under shelter while we struggled to park and get our luggage. We had hoped that there would be an offer of help with our very heavy luggage and would expect an establishment showing a 3-star grading on their own website to do so. I got the feeling that she couldn't wait to get away! Not sure I would stay here again due the steep stairs, the luggage problem, and the wishy-washy welcome. Hopefully this will be rectified.
