Beautiful cabin in a beautiful place.

We loved everything about our stay at Silverlake Cabin, and only wished we had booked for longer! Such a relaxing place with stunning views and so quiet except for the sounds of the birds - just magical! Such great attention to detail in the cabin with everything you need, super clean and modern! We will definitely be back.

Our stay was truly delightful, surrounded by stunning scenery. Each morning, we were greeted by the melodious songs of birds, creating a tranquil and serene atmosphere. The accommodations were impeccably organised and equipped with everything one could need. Additionally, the owner was incredibly kind and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend getaway and only wished we could have extended our stay. We look forward to returning in the future.

Heaven is at Silverlake Cabin.

Amazing apartment, beautifully furnished, well kitted out and extremely clean! And the views are out of this world. Private, perfect for a romantic weekend away or even a work and play, as the WiFi is great. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. Check-in and check-out was perfect. Best braai spot on the patio, with incredible views!

What a magical location and the accommodation provided us with everything and more for a comfortable stay. The view was incredible, and we will definitely be back! Leigh is such a great host and made sure the cabin was equipped with everything we needed.

Silverlake Cabin is absolutely lovely. It is the ideal spot from which to enjoy Wilderness. We loved the silence and the privacy.

Silverlake Cabin is inspirational. The massive windows overlooking the lake create the impression of endless space. There is everything you need in the kitchen – including an expresso coffee pot and a trusty Le Creuset frying pan. The birdlife and lake allow for sensational photography. We left enriched by the environment, carefully selected books and magazines to peruse, and just the sheer enjoyment of attention to detail. It is ideal for a cosy getaway for two! Thank you, Leigh, for advising about shopping, fishing spots and load shedding (not that we noticed because you have a backup system)!

Magical place. Difficult to tear ourselves away!

What a wonderful place, it's as if, when you come through the gate, you enter another world. A commanding position overlooking the lake, graced with a wide variety of birds that kept us amused for hours. The cabin itself is well appointed, with great attention to detail making it a very comfortable place to stay. With good access to Wilderness and beyond it really is a very special place to stay.

Ideal size for a couple, beautiful views, well managed.

The cabin is not big, but large enough for a couple and well designed with great attention for detail. The deck is a great place to enjoy the beauty of the lake and river and the birds in the vicinity. Leigh was very friendly and accommodating. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Silverlake Cabin has it all. We will definitely be back in the future. The host, Leigh, is very friendly and will make you feel right at home. Lots of things to do in an around Wilderness. Even a quiet night at the cabin is amazing. The views are to die for. I recommend Silverlake Cabin 1000%.

A true getaway experience.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Silverlake Cabin for 3 nights over Christmas and we struggled to find something that offered us the overall getaway experience. This place was exactly what we were looking for! It's not just a place to rest your head but a cabin experience with the most amazing views. The cabin is fully equipped, from water bottles with mint in the fridge to a mosquito machine for at night. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to utilise the braai but hope to be back for this next time! Thank you Hettie and Leigh for such a lovely hospitable stay and for the thoughtful items to make our stay more comfortable! See you soon, I hope!

This cabin is a hidden gem!

You know you have an amazing place when all you want to do is be at the cabin. We didn't even go exploring the surrounding areas, because the location of this cabin was everything we wanted. Beautiful views, amazing wildlife, a real sense of tranquility. The perfect get away for a few days of peacefulness.
