Slypsteen Guest Farm offers self-catering chalets, and is situated in the small town of Vollgraaffsig, approximately 90 km from Upington in the Groblershoop area of the Northern Cape. The guest farm is built on a small mountain and overlooks the beautiful Orange River Valley.
Accommodation at Slypsteen Guest Farm comprises 7 self-catering chalets. Each chalet consists of open-plan living, and features a bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. Each unit has a kitchenette containing a stove, a microwave, and there are braai facilities at each chalet. Additionally, each chalet contains air-conditioning and a TV for media entertainment.
Each chalet has beautiful views of the Orange River, the vineyards in the area, and lovely sunsets. The farm also has a communal seasonal swimming pool and a braai area. There is also a function hall and a chapel that can be hired for weddings or special events, which can host up to 120 guests.
The farm is ideal for hikers, mountain bikers and guests who enjoy peace and tranquility. The guest farm is built on a rocky hill; thus it is not wheelchair friendly.
