Star Dam Tranquil Cottage is a secluded self-catering wooden cottage nestled in Star Dam Estate, in a quiet corner of the Dargle Valley in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, close to the iconic Inhlosane hills.
The cottage comprises 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, accommodating up to 8 guests. The first bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed and a single bed and features an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath. The second bedroom also has a queen-size bed and a single bed, while the third bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed. The first guest bathroom is fitted with a shower only, and the second bathroom has a toilet only.
The open-plan living space includes a dining table with chairs and a lounge with comfortable couches and a fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge-freezer, stove, and oven. Guests can also enjoy al fresco dining on the deck.
Activities include early morning walks, fishing, or swimming in the dam. Evenings are spent around the fire, chatting or playing board games. The area also offers guided horse riding tours of Inhlosane Farm, mountain biking trails, and excellent fly fishing opportunities in the dam.
