Description
Stilbaai Family Holiday Home is a lovely thatched self-catering holiday home, located in the quiet suburb of Little England, in the holiday town of Stilbaai. The house is located just 50 m from the Goukou River, and an easy 10 minute walk from the main beach. The house is built-in a horseshoe shape, and the peaceful setting offers beautiful views of the surroundings.
The house can accommodate up to 8 guests and comprises 4 bedrooms, a kitchen, and an open-plan dining and lounge area. The first bedroom contains a double bed. The second and third bedrooms each contain 2 single beds. The fourth bedroom contains a double bed, and an en-suite bathroom with a bath, a shower and a toilet. The second bathroom contains a bath, and separate shower. There is also a guest toilet. Bath and swimming towels are not supplied.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and includes a fridge, a chest freezer, gas and electric stoves with ovens, and all cutlery and crockery for 8 guests. The dining area contains an 8-seater wooden dining table and chairs. The comfortable lounge features a TV (DStv on request), and a fireplace. Outside, built-in braai facilities are available, as well as weber braai facilities.
The house boasts a brand new thatch roof and has a freshly thatched smell. We love this but it is not to everyones taste. New thatch roofs tend to drop tiny grass seeds and leafy bits that settle on the beds, furniture etc, this is not the sign of a dirty house. The house is thoroughly cleaned and aired before you arrive but a strong wind can change that overnight. Note, you will be sharing the house with a couple of geckos, we love them because they are the eco-friendly way to combat unwanted insects.
