Stick twirling looked awfully good at us. It is really an experience to be able to live on such a beautiful plot and to have so much accommodation available. The houses and sleeping quarters are well maintained and the upgrades in the bathrooms are amazing. We had a great time on Stokkiesdraai. Prosper (accommodation caretaker) and his team spoiled us by lighting fireplaces in the evenings as well as making fires outside for us to enjoy. The service provided by the team was excellent and we are grateful for all the cleaning and tidying of the houses on a daily basis. I recommend Stokkiesdraai to anyone any day. The tranquility along the Vaal river and the incredibly beautiful view over the yard to the river was also a great asset to our wonderful stay.

We enjoyed our stay with family and the hospitality from the staff was incredible. I would suggest that the main house bathrooms get some TLC and showers instead of a bath.

Beautiful property on beautiful grounds. Lapa visit area very convenient. Service very well. But accommodation and beds extremely poor. Especially in the main house - only 2 very old and smelly bathrooms for 8 people. House has smelly dirty carpets with bitter old battered sofas. We have all been bitten by lice or bed bugs. Main oven in large kitchen as well as large microwave out of order. We had to make food for 15 people for 4 days from a very small oven in the smaller house which is very far from the lapa. Advertisement is also misleading because it is not 3 kitchens in 3 residential houses. The one kitchen is tiny and in the lapa. The 3rd house with 2 bedrooms is like 2 prison cells with one shower and only sleeps 3 children, definitely not adults. We were very disappointed in our stay.
