Description
Sugarbird Cottage offers comfortable self-catering accommodation in a spacious cottage located close to the Harold Porter Botanical Gardens, perfect for a family getaway . The cottage is two minutes' walk to Jocks Bay, a safe swimming place for an early morning swim, while you watch the sun come up. Walk down with your coffee and your dog.
This family home comes with panoramic views of the sea and the mountain. the home comprises of 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an open-plan kitchen, dining area, and a lounge. Three of the bedrooms each contain a double-size bed, while the fourth bedroom is furnished with 2 single beds. The bathrooms are well appointed, one has a walk-in shower (gas) and the main bathroom has a full-size bath with a shower overhead. For your convenience, linen and bath towels are provided. Guests are kindly requested to bring their own swimming towels.
The kitchen is well equipped with a gas stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and an airfyer and a view. Family meals can be celebrated at the table. The lounge invites you to relax on comfortable couches, it has an excellent fireplace for those chilly winter nights. Fibre Wi-Fi access and a spare fridge for a big family gathering. A washing machine is available for longer stays.
The house is fully alarmed and has a large, enclosed backyard for the furbabies. An alfresco outdoor shower surrounded by fynbos with hot and cold water. (A must!) A Weber braai and garden furniture are ready for use.
Betty’s Bay offers plenty to do depending on how you feel on the day. Relax on the veranda looking at the ocean or visit Coffee on Clarence for the best coffee and scrambled eggs in town. Activities such as sandboarding, swimming, surfing, and walking and hiking trails or visit the Harold Porter Botanical Gardens, the penguin colony at Stony Point or walk the Koggelberg trail from the Palmiet River Home (easy walk +-10km).
Bettys Bay is somewhere to switch off and just be in the moment. Enjoy your stay.
