One awesome stay. Tranquility at its best, away from the busy city life. The little cottage is cute, and we enjoyed the fireplace at night. Shower water was warm. And a comfy bed.

We had a relaxed and comfortable stay in Sunflower Cottage. Loved the garden and historic building. Well-equipped kitchen and lovely outside space too.

Good historic offering sufficiently modernised to enjoy.

We thought the offering based on a historic building was fine. It was clean and had sufficient facilities. Just had to watch your head. The house is understandable, but they may need to do something about the hedge at the garage to yard gate. I scraped my head twice. Otherwise, it was great.

Comfortable.

Cottage is lovely. A bit overpriced when compared to our other 3 stays on our trip. Communication from the owner was not good. Ilze, who unlocked for us, was lovely.

One of my best Lekkerslaap stays enhanced by the ambiance of the town, the rural setting and the friendly people. An absolute privilege to live in an officially recognised, heritage cottage! Loved the low door frames even though I bumped my head many times. It taught me to adopt a stooping statute for the rest of my life!

Absolutely loved it. The fireplace was a bonus on the cold nights!

Amazing and tranquil.

If you want to just relax and have a quiet weekend, the Sunflower Cottage is just the place. The garden is lush green and the cottage is just lovely.

Klein paradysie in McGregor.

Die kothuis is uit die 1800's en is baie oulik. Die enigste vreemde ding is dat die badkamer geen deur het na die hoofslaapkamer nie maar slegs 'n gordyntjie. Die res van die huisie was gerieflik en goed ingerig. Die stoep met bank, hangmat en pragtige tuis was die wenner vir my. Ek het heeldag in die hangmat lê en boeklees terwyl ek na voëlgeluide kon luister. Loopafstand van restaurante (probeer die prego by The Courtyard!). Ons het dit baie geniet.

Rustig, outydse sjarme, uiltyd.

Landelike, oudorpse atmosfeer. Interessante geskiedenis. Museum, kerk, tuine merkwaardig. Vriendelike mense.

Uiters aangename kuier in 'n pragtige, karaktervolle kothuis.

Die kothuis is silwerskoon met dekor wat pas by die historiese gebou en bydra tot die outydse sjarme daarvan. Ons het die tuin wat mooi omhein is baie geniet aangesien ons hond ook saamgereis het. Die heerlike stoep met sy hangmat en lekker kuiertafel asook die houtstofie om die leefvertrek te verwarm was ook wenners. Ons kan Sunflower Cottage beslis aanbeveel.

Baie kort, genotvol. Was heerlik sonder die tegnologie. Gebond met die kinders en verskriklik baie detail in die oulike kothuis.

Attention to detail is tops. Ligging was fantasties. Baie ontspannend en perfekte plek om weer bietjie te reconnect met jouself en die kinders. Skoon en baie netjies.

A cute cottage, lots of character and clean, with everything you need.

Great old-world charm and very comfortable, with a lovely stoep and everything we needed for a break from the city and technology. It is well kept, clean and tidy, thanks to hosts Evie and Charlotte. We had a lovely time.

Very good value for money.

Everything about the cottage was awesome except the quality of a few pillows and an issue with opening the key storage unit at entrance. Didn't bring my dog but there is ample space for your beloved pets to wander about. Disappointed to leave after 1 day due to a health issue.

Cute cottage in a quiet location.

Spent two nights at Sunflower Cottage as a family. It is a National Heritage House. A really lovely looking cottage in a quiet road. Loved hanging out on the stoep out back. Fairy lights and hammock a nice touch. Had everything we needed. Linen was clean. Has an alarm system. Beds were comfortable. There were a few little issues, but have addressed these with the owner and she has noted them. Some really good restaurants in the area. Highlight of our stay was the Donkey Sanctuary.

Absoluut rustig en sjarmant!

Die cottage is presies wat ons nodig gehad het. Die wonderlike groot stoep is egter onuithoudbaar warm gedurende die dag as gevolg van die deurskynende dakplate. Die cottage was wel heerlik koel binne. Baie dankie - sal weer kom inval!

Heerlike wegbreek!

Lieflike kothuis, silwerskoon en netjies en goed toegerus. Geleë in 'n stil area van die dorp. Die groot stoep en tuin agter is hemels. Ek sal baie graag weer kom, en langer bly!

Quaint, clean, perfect place to stay to get a feel of this beautiful village.

We could not have asked for a more perfect little cottage to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of this special town. Just a wonderful experience all-round.

Rustig en ontspanne.

Die feit dat die Cottage hondevriendelik was, het bygedra tot ons lekker kuier. Die hele plek is omhein, dus kon ons terugsit en ontspan.

Beautiful, rustic, charming and peaceful. Waking up with the birds chirping. Exactly what we needed to recharge our batteries. Will definitely recommend it.

Wanneer kan ek intrek?

Pragtig, goed ingerig, skoon en netjies. Aandag aan klein dingetjies soos pleisters, muskietroom (o ja, daar is muskiete!).

Dit was nog beter as wat dit op die foto's gelyk het!

Die kothuis was pragtig. Die bed en beddegoed baie mooi opgemaak! Alles was pragtig skoon en kombuis goed ingerig. Evie was 'n bondeltjie sonskyn wat ons ontmoet het met ons aankoms. Sal beslis weer terug wees!

Stunning cottage in a safe area!

We loved our time at SunFlower cottage! The neighbourhood is quiet and safe.

Besonderse atmosfeer, pragtig gerestoreer - modern-antiek. Rustigheid van die pragtige tuin en heerlike kuier agter maak dit wegbreek alleen of met ander wonderlik. Ou boustyl sorg vir koel skuiling in die snikhete. Kan net indink hoe cosy dit in die winter met die kaggel binne sal wees. Sal vir seker terugkeer keer op keer.

Lovely weekend in the cottage and in McGregor - very nice small town with friendly community, good food, and lots of things to do. Very nice cottage and garden.

Excellent place to stay and explore the town on foot.

A lovely cottage and garden with all facilities needed for a restful breakaway. Close to shops, art galleries, restaurants.

Peaceful and quiet.

In summer an air conditioner or at least a fan or two is needed. Also we missed a microwave, even a small cheap one. The little cottage was very clean, neat and tidy. Evie was very friendly and helpful, even waiting for us to arrive after a flat tire. The bed linen was of very good quality. In all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back for more visits. It is the perfect place to go and recharge the batteries.
