Lovely stay. It had everything we needed.

It was good but definitely not the best.

Our stay was good. A few things to consider: the front door handle is way too close to the edge. Both of us have injuries on the knuckles. The bed was the worst; I couldn't sleep for the two nights. The bed needs to be replaced. I haven't seen the hosts at all; instructions were given via WhatsApp.

Definitief waarde vir geld. Net bietjie gesukkel om in die donker en reën die sleutelkissie by die hek oop te maak. My man moes kom help. Moontlik 'n veiligheidsrisiko as 'n vrou alleen daar moet stop. Die verblyf was egter puik.

Comfort, cleanliness, tranquil, well managed, faultless.

It was so perfect one almost doesn't want to give it the perfect grading for fear of it always being booked up! What can I say? We lived at 3 different places over the 2 weeks and the Aloe is the only one worth the time. A perfect home away from home in every aspect. All the comfort, luxury and necessities at the most affordable rates.

Pragtig netjies en skoon. Lekker groot badkamer met bad en stort. Genoeg pakplek. Alles in werkende toestand behalwe lig in die kombuis wat heeltyd aan- en afskakel. Seker 'n los konneksie iewers. Daar is voorsiening vir beurtkrag met 'n kragboksie sodat die TV kan aanbly en 'n selfoon gecharge kan word. Ons sou net daarvan gehou het as daar 'n afdakkie vir ons motor was.

Goeie waarde vir geld; eienaar goedgesind oor buitengewone versoek aan hulle.

Ons het lekker gebly, al was dit vir een aand en kort tyd.

The Aloe is a jewel. Excellent security from start to finish. Ample parking space right at the entrance, so no lugging things over long distances. The cottage is as per photographs, with the bathroom better than the idea you get from the photos. It has a large bath, spacious shower with a comfortable basin and drawers below, plus a toilet all behind a very silent sliding door. The kitchen also has an electric hotplate and a portable single plate gas cooker, along with a few pots so you can prepare simple meals. There is a large screen TV with new-fangled internet that's a little ahead of our age, but we did manage to view a few good programmes despite our ignorance. Our hostess, Sharon, was amazing and was in contact with us from about 10:30 until we arrived at around 17:30. Then there is the garden. For many, the large water feature would be the central attraction. For us, the vast collection of indigenous cycads was the highlight, some of which are hundreds of years old. Beautiful tree aloes on each side of the entrance must also be quite old. There is also a host of other plants all over, and every time you look, there's another that you had not seen. Luckily for us, it is October, so the Jacarandas were in full bloom, and in places, bright Bougainvillea filled in the Jacaranda flowers. The garden is to die for. All this, plus great hospitality at the most competitive rate you'll find. Well done, you guys. We'll be back if our activities take us in that direction again, for sure.
