Description

The Dreamcatcher's View is a newly built holiday cottage located in the heart of the Suurbraak village, behind the historic Mission Station village square. It offers safe and comfortable self-catering accommodation. Neighbors' small-scale farming contributes to a variety of farm-style sights and sounds, including the 'cockle-doodle-doo' announcements from roosters, which adds to a rather unique 'back-in-time' experience for guests.

A modern, open-plan kitchen comes well-equipped with a fridge-freezer, microwave, Defy dual gas and electric stove, cutlery, crockery, and tea/coffee-making facilities. The living area opens onto a sun-soaked patio and outside braai area with breathtaking mountain views. The property offers secure parking as well as internet access and DSTV.

The local area lends itself to eco-tourism with numerous walks, mountain bike and hiking trails as well as riverside swimming areas and picnic sites. The magnificent Tradouw Mountain Pass offers guests amazing viewpoints across the river valley and is the gateway to Barrydale and the well-known Route 62 to Montague winelands and hot springs.

Besides the bustling town of Swellendam with its golf course, wide variety of restaurants and shopping malls, there are three Nature Reserves which are less than an hour's drive from the cottage. Witsand Beach, with its boulders and wide stretch of soft white sand, is perfect for swimming and fishing.
