Dear Rinie, I am so sorry about the communication issue on our side and that you had to wait 10 min for me to get there after you called. We do contact all guests prior to them arriving so that that have my cell number to call for any issues so they can be speedily resolved.
All our rooms are provided with battery backup bulbs so that they have light during load shedding. Our Wi-Fi has back up and has never been down, even in 4 hour load shedding we have been on line and our geysers stay hot. We are looking at installing a gas hob for cooking as load shedding looks to increase, we do try to be proactive to keep our guests comfortable. I can recommend chatting to your host for future stays as all of us, in this industry, will go out of our way to resolve any problems and make sure you are comfortable. We are generally known for our restful stay but while you were here we did have a young couple celebrating a birthday rather noisy on the one morning, this is not a norm and we allowed a bit of celebrating before asking them to tone it down, perhaps I should have closed it down straight away - a difficult call for a host, as you want to try and keep everyone happy. We handle each situation on its own merits depending on time of day etc. Again if any other guests advise a problem then we close it down straight away. Our bathrooms are a standard en-suite format but we will certainly take a look and see what we can do to make it more use friendly.
