Description
The Lodge @ Field and Stream is a stunning self-catering house situated on the Field and Stream Farm just outside the small town of Dullstroom on Tonteldoos Road. The farm offers peaceful surroundings where guests can enjoy privacy and panoramic views. The farm is well-known for fly fishing and offers 2 dams, and a weir, and is 4 km from the Witpoort River on the southern end of the farm.
The Lodge has a sleeping capacity of 10 guests and comprises 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The main bedroom is furnished with a double bed and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, basin, and toilet. The second bedroom and third bedroom are each furnished with a king-size bed. The fourth bedroom has a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath. The fifth bedroom has 2 single beds. The 2 guest bathrooms are fitted with a shower, basin, and toilet. Linen and towels are provided.
The kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, stove, oven, microwave, cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities, and features a centrally located breakfast island with stools. There is also a dishwasher for guests’ convenience. It extends to the dining area and further extends to the lounge furnished with comfy couches and a TV. Guests are required tp bring their own DStv decoder and smart card. Furthermore, there is a double sleeper couch available for 2 children on request. The lounge boasts a cosy fireplace to snuggle up to during the cold months. The entertainment area is also equipped with a bar, a pool table and a dartboard.
The unit opens up to the covered patio with outdoor seating and braai facilities. There is a green luscious lawn infront of the house and overlooks the dam.
Guests can also enjoy waterfalls with picnic and swimming areas, as well as beautiful walks along the streams, and the farm tracks that cross the farm which is ideal for walking and mountain biking. In addition, there are a number of recommended mountain biking routes around Dullstroom, all of which can be accessed from the farm.
At the top end of the farm, you will find the Field and Stream Clay Pigeon Shooting Range which is an ideal venue for bachelor parties, family outings or for team building. The farm now also offers a Conference Centre, supporting up to 25 delegates.
