The Monkeyhide is a charming self-catering cottage set in the serene mountain village of Hogsback in the Amathole Mountains of the Eastern Cape. With a private entrance on the host's property, this cottage offers a relaxing and comfortable stay for couples or small families seeking a peaceful retreat.

The cottage can accommodate up to 2 adults and 2 children in its open-plan design. It is furnished with a double bed and has an extra child-only double sleeper couch available. Guests share an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower.

The open-plan features a living area with comfortable seating and a kitchenette. The kitchenette is well equipped with a bar fridge, gas stove, and coffee- and tea-making facilities. Outside guests can relax in the beautiful garden while there are braai facilities available to use. The expansive main garden offers many peaceful spots to relax, with an array of attractive and exotic trees that are particularly stunning in spring and autumn.

Winter days are often sunny, with cozy evenings spent around the log fireplace, reading or playing board games. Occasionally, the area is graced with beautiful snowfalls. Guests may also experience visits from the Samango forest monkeys. The Monkeyhide provides a perfect escape for those looking to enjoy the tranquility and natural beauty of Hogsback.
