Comfortable and enjoyable. Quiet area.

The house was very neat and tidy and in a quiet area of town. Large, spacious rooms and comfortable beds ensured a good night's rest. Everything we needed was available. We enjoyed our stay here and will have no hesitation in booking the old country house again if in the area.

Not very great.

The house could be absolutely lovely - it's in a great location. The house was unfortunately dirty. It seemed that people had stayed in the house and had just left before we got there. The kitchen was very stained and dirty, and the fridge was dirty inside and out. Bathrooms were not clean - the toilet in the main bathroom was leaking and there was hair on the soap. Sheets were not clean/stained in the main bedroom. The Internet was not working, but it got sorted out within hours. Unfortunately, our stay was not great and comfortable at all. We even decided to leave extra early to have breakfast somewhere in the beautiful Fouriesburg.

Great home, friendly host. Will stay there again!

We arrived in the evening to a warm house (and electric blankets on) and left early the next morning. The host was most accommodating and friendly. Will stay there again next year!

Pleasantly surprised.

We were a group of 7 with 2 elderly folk travelling as well. We had an urgent need to find accommodation (2 hours) and Lekkeslapp and The Old Country House stepped in. What a pleasure to deal with people who make one feel welcome, even when it put them under pressure. A very pleasant guest house, one of the oldest buildings in Fouriesburgh, so always needing some TLC, clean, and well-appointed.

Lieflike ou steenhuis met 'n heerlike kolestoof en snoesige kamers. Sarah is 'n lieflike gasvrou wat regstaan om jou tuis te laat voel. Die oggendkoffie op die stoep in die winterson terwyl kinders op die gras baljaar was beslis 'n hoogtepunt.
