The Southern Beach House

Awesome, peaceful and blissful.

Southern Strand is a little hideaway town. No noise pollution, only the waves breaking against the rock. We had a great sea view. We stayed for 4 days and the gravel road was scraped twice. This made the trip to Struisbaai and back a breeze. It was a great stay and attention to detail in the place was really good. We felt at home there.

We and our 2 doggies enjoyed our stay thoroughly.

Neat, tidy and clean. Nice beach decor. Very quiet away from the touristy Agulhas. Lovely deck that you can sit on to view the sea. Bedrooms on the sunny side of the house, great for that afternoon nap. Walking to the beach is just down the road. A bonus, they have a dishwasher in the apartment.

Very comfortable.

Staircase difficult to navigate for anyone who is disabled/impaired.

Our experience at Southern Beach House was absolutely amazing.

When we first arrived, it was raining, but the house was nice and comfy for us to chill in. We had an amazing time, there was an inside braai and we enjoyed every moment of the weekend. The house had everything we needed and the view was so beautiful, waking up to that for the weekend was a highlight. The kids enjoyed it so much. Thank you again to the lovely Lorraine for accommodating me and my family.

Rustig, veilig en so tuis gevoel.

Lorraine, die eienaar, was konstant in kontak met ons om seker te wees dat alles na wense is. Pragtige plek en was heerlik om elke aand met die geluid van branders aan die slaap te raak. Die plekkie is heerlik rustig, veilig en gerieflik.

Absolutely loved the place.

The house was perfect and comfortable. The only thing we didn't enjoy was the dirt road to get there. But it was the perfect setting for a rainy weekend. Thank you Lorraine we will definitely be visiting again soon.

The area is beautiful. The apartment is spacious. We did worry a little about the security though.

Although the apartment was located well with lovely views, we noticed that the sliding door could not lock at all. This was a little worrying, even though Lorrainne did tell us that it is a very safe area. It would also have been great to be supplied with 2 clean bath towels. Fortunately we did have towels with us, but when travelling it does really help if one does not have to pack damp towels.

Clean rooms, many of them en suite. Decent kitchen facilities.

Baie lekker ruim huis, genoeg eetgerei, baie gerieflik.

Die huis was skoon, maar orals in die kamers was baie spinnekoppe en spinnerakke agter beddens onder beddens in hoeke in kamers op lampskerms langs bed en in dak. Orals is vreemde goggas ons moes omtrent gif spuit, maar ek verstaan daar is baie bosse om die huis en waarskynlik kom dit vandaar. Die stort wat nie wou dreineer nie, ek het foto's geneem dat julle kan sien. Ek sal graag weer wil gaan na daardie huis, het lekker gekuier maar, daar sal moet skoongemaak word en ook gif gespuit word in die huis. Die boonste stort lek tot onder langs die binnebraai - aandag sal moet gegee word aan dit, asook die binnebraai mag nie gebruik word nie, sal graag dit wou gebruik wanneer die weer onguur is buite. Ons moes maar buite in die koue wind braai - as hulle dit net kan uitsorteer.

Lovely location, ample space, will go there again and again.

Well wow! This is not the first time staying there. Beautiful house. Very well equipped for a perfect, relaxing holiday. Near beach and so peaceful.

Baie lekker huis vir 'n groot groep of gesin.

Uitsig vanaf die tweede verdieping oor die see is mooi. Dit het al die basiese goed wat nodig is. Ons het reën gehad heel naweek en het nie omgegee om in die huis te bly nie.

Dit was lekker, maar nie baie skoon nie.

Die kamers bo is baie netjies en modern. Onder was die huis nie baie netjies en skoon nie. Stort het muf in, skottelgoed is vuil in die kaste gesit en die meubels en armleuning van die trappe was stowwerig.

Dit was die ideale vakansie vir mense wat hou van stap, die natuur en smag na rus vir die siel "far from the madding crowd" in 'n pragtige huis met baie leeshoekies.

Hierdie unieke huis is 'n lus vir die oog en is ingerig vir 'n heerlik onspanne vakansie. Daar is volop geleentheid vir stap (die naaste swemstrand is 'n halfuur se stap weg), visvang en sommer na die voëltjies kyk terwyl jy op die hangmat lê. Geen winkels in Suiderstrand, maar L'Algulhas is net vyf km se grondpad ver.

Absolutely super stay.

Quiet, peaceful getaway. The lack of MTN cell phone reception was a bonus for me as I could truly get away from work and relax. Well equipped accommodation with pleasing extras such as a dishwasher and more than ample fridge space. Beds were comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
