Description
Overlooking the Albert Falls Dam and the Karkloof Hills, The View Garden Cottage offers guests the perfect space to relax, unwind, and be themselves. This rustic, farm-style stay provides a down-to-earth environment, ensuring both comfort and convenience.
The cottage features 2 en-suite bedrooms, each with its own entrance from the covered veranda and seating areas. The mini lounge, accessible directly from Room 2, makes this a lively suite. For families with children, 2 beds can be set up in the lounge, creating a cozy family unit. Each room is equipped with a fan, mosquito repellents, fresh water, and blankets for cool nights. Complimentary tea and coffee, all linen, bath and swimming towels, and gentle shower soap are provided, catering to sensitive skin. Baby guests are also well catered for with a comfortable travel cot, complete with a mosquito net.
Guests at The View have 24/7 access to Wi-Fi and can enjoy the indoor entertainment area, which includes a dartboard, a full-size snooker table, a small library, and a lounge area with DStv. The fully equipped kitchen offers two fridge-freezers, a gas stove/oven, microwave, toaster, crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, Nespresso and filter coffee machines (please bring your own pods/coffee grounds), a smoothie maker, and a SodaStream (excluding syrup). For outdoor dining, guests can choose between a mobile Weber for a garden braai or the undercover built-in wood and gas braais on the patio, which also features a TV, making it an ideal spot, no matter the weather. Don't forget your swimming costume to enjoy a relaxing day or sundowner by the pool, or simply relax in the sun or enjoy the nighttime peace wherever you choose.
Being on a farm, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of wildlife, including bats and owls, some of which roost or nest outside and inside our roofing. We will make every effort to minimize disturbances from these inhabitants, but we cannot guarantee complete quiet or prevent the occasional "visitor" be it Buck, Zebra or Gheko! What we would love you to shoot is tons of photos for your social media!
Msinsi Albert Falls Dam day visitors and Fishermen who pre-pay their day/s entry fee at the Msinsi office will be allowed to use a private farm gate opening above Slipway 2 and 4x4 is advisable . T&C apply.
Feel free to explore the farm, where you can view a wide variety of animals, insects, birds, bats, and barn owls that frequently visit, nest, or roost near the home. For some family fun, children can cast a line into the private dam and perhaps catch a Tilapia.
The Garden Cottage is in close proximity to the Owner's home, but Guests will still enjoy their privacy.
Guests must be dog friendly as we have 6 security dogs who have free reign of the property.
