A great getaway location and almost perfect all-round stay. Would recommend some shading over the tub, the entrance area and somewhere round the braai. It was kind of hot in the day, but great otherwise.

Silence is golden sprinkled with stars.

It was my 2nd stay and I have already booked the 3rd. It's truly one of South Africa's hidden gems for anyone interested in astronomy or simply seeking a peaceful retreat under the most spectacular star-filled sky.

Can I just say wow! We got there and the hot tub was already heated, fresh ice in the fridge. And the stars. Unbelievable! Already booked another visit.

Tranquil, peaceful, beautiful, breathtaking star gazing at night.

Riaan was incredible. It was my partner's birthday and I asked if it was possible for him to do a few extra requests, and he went well above and beyond any expectations. I kept him up to date on the arrival time and he met us halfway up the dirt road and showed us to the tent, had the fire lit for us, and the hot tub fire was going as well. The tent is fully kitted with extra blankets and a gas heater to stay extra warm. I can't recommend this place enough. It was incredible, not to mention the stars at night were just breathtaking. Thank you.

Fantastic location. Facilities were well organised. Firewood prepared for us on arrival. Bathrooms were super clean. If I visit Sutherland again, I will most definitely spend a night at Uitkomst again!

A beautiful pocket of land with pleasant shaded camp sites, sweet spring water. Lovely hiking possibilities. Riaan, such a friendly and helpful host.

Dit was 'n wonderlike ondervinding.

Dit was ongelooflik mooi en rustig alhoewel die naambord 'n bietjie groter en duideliker vanaf die teerpad aangedui kan word, ons het dit die 1e keer gemis in die donker. Die pad is beslis meer bedoel vir 'n bakkie en die hekke redelik nou. Geen klagtes, dit was die beste verblyf van 'n 3 weke lange toer en die gasheer baie vriendelik en behulpsaam.

Refreshing and comfortable.

We were welcomed very friendly. The owner of the establishment quickly helped us to have a game plan of what to do. He personally took us on a trip on a tractor with a wagon. The kids enjoyed it immensely. We had the best camping experience ever. The host really went out of his way to make our stay unforgettable. Personally, I feel we paid too little for an amazing stay.

Asemrowend mooi.

Riaan het uit sy pad gegaan om ons verblyf gemaklik te maak en te help met ons voertuigprobleem. Al was dit ysig koud en reënerig, het ons heerlik warm in die tent geslaap. Ons sal definitief weer wil terugkeer vir 'n langer tydperk om die pragtige plaas ten volle te geniet!

Die moeite werd.

Die plek is ongelooflik mooi. As jy hou om weg te kom uit die stad en net natuur om jou, is die plek perfek. Goed ingerig vir die koue ook. Die eienaar het ook uit sy pad gegaan om ons te laat tuis voel. My kinders kan nie wag om weer daar te gaan kuier nie. Baie goed en volledig ingerig.

Gasvrye plaasverblyf.

Riaan was ongelooflik gasvry en het uit sy pad gegaan om ons tuis te laat voel. Hy het tot Saterdag vir ons vleis teruggebring uit die dorp. Die Rooikat-tent is baie goed uitgerus en ten spyte van koue weer het ons lekker warm geslaap. Die plaas is perfek vir afskakel, afgesonder van die samelewing. Die kinders het die plaasdiere en stap geniet. Ons sal definitief terug wees in die somer vir sterre kyk.

Ons verwagtinge is oortref. Dit was 'n spesiale wegbreek.

Ons het gehoop dat verblyf by die plek in Sutherland nie te koud gaan wees nie. Ons het warm en gerieflik geslaap en asemrowende sonsopkoms geniet.

Quiet, friendly, beautiful, relaxing.

Our stay was wonderful. The owner was friendly and very accommodating. The site was beautiful with nicely grown grass, comfortable for a tent. Lots of farm animals to see and enjoy watching by a fire. Good place to explore and hike as well, with lots of rock formations to climb.

This is a great, out of the way, place to stay - highly recommended!

Rian was an excellent host and made us very welcome. The camp site was well provided for, with an excellent fireplace, stone pool (which would be lovely in the summer), and very well-planned ablution facilities. Plenty of hot water heated by a donkey - super efficient! The camp site is surrounded by small boulder-strewn koppies, and walking in the area is great.

Ons het ons 'glamping' aand vreeslik geniet! Dit was vreeslik koud, maar die tent was heerlik snoesig warm en die koue het glad nie gepla nie!
